As we speak, my shipping sources tell me that there are currently more than 1,000 2014 WK2 CRD's that have already left Curtis Bay. A few have landed already.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Now it looks like the car is about to become a reality, the experience with Jeep has made me quite nervous. We are buying this vehicle with the view to doing some serious touring. The Savanna Way, up through the Gulf places like that. Our worry is now that if it is so bloody hard to get a car, and Jeep have such crap customer service if the thing breaks down we are going to be stranded for months waiting for parts? This has been such a shit experience all round, totally gone off the brand. Beautiful vehicles, but really over it.

It will be interesting to see the pricing, as here in the U.S. there have been some recent price increases (+ $500 for 5.7L models, + $200 on Overland's and SRT's, and + $100 for the CD player). So a 5.7L Overland with the CD option now costs $800 more.

I think this is a valid concern after being an owner for 18 months. A mate of mine at work looked at GC and Audi Q7 etc to replace his Prado, but is going to stick with Toyota and get a Hilux as he is also concerned about parts if he breaks down when he is out in the country with his van.

Thanks, hope springs eternal, based upon your rep I take anything you say over an Aussie Jeep dealer anyday. Great forum you have here, no wonder CJA fear you so much!

same here, concerns about reliability, wanted the ride early so I could iron out the teething problems, headed for the Gibb River Road, Tanami Track & back through the Great Central Highway in late Sept & early Oct, if this thing doesn't turn up soon will have to check out the Prado

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

One thing I would like to know RE: MY14.. As the ecodiesel will be running AdBlue (DEF), will jeep attempt the same as Volkswagen, Mercedes, Mazda etc by "enforcing" the use of their "OEM" AdBlue? Mazda tried to charge 30 bucks a liter for AdBlue during a service on a friends CX9. With AdBlue being sold at 1.09 per liter at the pump and truck Centres, his is something to look out for!

Yep, you're right allypally. Loaded on the Tonsberg and scheduled for arrival in Brisbane on 26 June. Now for the second long wait.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

thanks for the pics Ausbrian. Very exciting. First pics of the jeeps on Australian soil
I am confused though. If I am looking at the Laredo I noticed it has the narrow headlights with the washers and better than the US wheels...almost better, if not better than the wheels on the Limited next door.

and another thing. It must be because they are on Australian soil but your pics look better than the ones you see on the web. This next two weeks is going to be loooooong.

Many thanks to Ausbrian for these photos of the MY14. As Webber said historic photos of the phantom MY14's are now here.

Must make Milous very proud to have his babies on our shore at last "Against All Odds" from Chrysler/Jeep/Fiat/Dodge/Ram/Alpha Romeo Aust managements mismanagement of the release.
