How about Jacinta Campbell, Jeep ambassador, since Jen has gone. Apparently she gets around in an SRT8

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Re: the Launch Invite. I read that as a dealership just doing their own individual launch which will be after the official launch.

It says:

Quote:
We’re very excited to announce, the arrival of the highly anticipated 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I read that as it being here already (which obviously it is)

Quote:
To celebrate, Newstead Chrysler Jeep Dodge is pleased to invite you along to our 4th of July inspired launch.
Inspired being the operative word here. They have taken it upon themselves to do the canapes and champagne thing on that particular date.

This tells me that official launch will be sometime this month. That's my take on it anyway.

I've got lots of pics. Grille is much nicer than I thought in the flesh. I was a big gutsy chrome man but this is nice.

It's good to hear those reviews webber. Having seen one myself I totally agree with you. They really do have an elegance in the flesh. It's hard to explain but photos don't do the '14 justice.

So in short, NOTHING to do with Jeep
Ok, just curious you never know who is prowling this forum. Still can't replicate that page from the Leo mueller website though, maybe it's been taken off?

And yes those SRTs are a awesome machine, can't wait till i take ownership in next few weeks.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

For anyone who thinks that JeepAU will not hold back cars until launch, will remember that the SRT8 was held for over 3 months until their launch date.
I think that you will find the launch date in the next few weeks, as the press needs to have a turn, write all their fluffy articles, create the hype for the saps that buy from press reports and then release the beast.
I bet many of you are in your cars before the EOFY

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

OK Iwantanotherjeep and webber,

Post the pics and put us out of our miseries.

I reckon a uni student in psychology could do a masters thesis on the effect that this mismanaged MY14 belated release is having on Jeep customers.

He/she could call it the MY14 Virus effect.

He/she would get a masters degree on this one for a bright young thing.

Bluey

Hi SNUKE, did you end up making up an Aussie version of the above? I can't see it. I wouldn't mind seeing an aussie spec build sheet for a Limited with OFII, quad lift & drive. Thanks m8.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

G'day Bluey,

My experience with the '14 was on a work trip to the USA so putting a photo of a US '14 up would be useless because there are thousands out there and better quality than mine. I had already wrote a post about the styling of the '14 some months ago and some on here compared it to a Mills & Boon novel, I preferred to think of it as car porn

My point was that webber had seen it in person and thought the front end was nice even though it had copped a lot of criticism before people laid eyes on it in the flesh. Personally I think it is better than nice
