Ok - additional information - speaking to a contact in Leo Muller - they have confirmed that due to alot of interest in the 4th July launch - they have re-instated the page !

They also confirmed that this is the Leo Muller Launch and not the "formal" launch. They believe the official launch date is mid to late June - but no exact dates mentioned yet.

Last two comments seem to bring the launch back into June. July 4 was only the dealers private launch.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Anyone thinking of travelling to the JGC MY14 Launch at Leo Muller to see the SRT - don't bother - just been told - that they will not have any at the launch. ALL the SRT vehicles coming into Australia are made to order and sold units only - so no demonstrators available for viewing.

Not sure if this is the same statewide??

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The only answer here is to run a book. I'm picking Saturday 15th. There aren't too many 2013 s around, and the ones that are around is because the dealerships holding stock won't sell em out the door at cost- I offered a dealership $5k off list for a sitting on their lt laredo and they said no way, these are in demand......

Mm, they still have it, that's hardly jeep Australia s fault or responsibility. JA don't have stock of their own either.

Damn 4th of July is tacky though. .....

If anyone get's a chance please look in the centre console for the presence or absence of the reportedly bulky CD player on the Aus model?

Thanks.

This is as far as I have gotten

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...2UlpCQUE#gid=0

I have been flat out, and I am a bit weary of the build sheets Milous supplied me are more than standard models with no extras as the Laredo model shows Quadra-Lift under Optional equipment, which we all know it does not come as standard.

If any one has build sheets that they know are just standard builds with no options then please send them to me - mdrunci@gmail.com

I understand there may be personal info on there you do not want me to have, if so then please convert it to excel, remove the personal info and email it to me with NO changes to the formatting.

Guys, just spoke to Werribee Jeep, he indeed did have one on the showroom floor, I asked how long it will be there and he told me Jeep Australia rang him this morning and are getting a truck to pick it up immediately.

As I was talking to him , the truck driver showed up. He confirmed the price rise is only $1500 on the Grand Limited and would sell me a new for $65,000 on the road.

He had a funny storey on how he got the vehicle out of the holding yard. I think the moral of this storey is Jeep Australia are definitely monitoring this forum!

I'll join in.

My guess is the launch will be scheduled for a Wednesday or Thursday. It allows for a couple of mid-week days to generate discussion and further promotion before the weekend which is important in the case of a car launch, because that's when most people pop off to their dealerships.

My picked date therefore will be - June 26th (Wednesday).

FYI dealer said that their senior staff are off to Melbourne on 12th June for one day.

There is a possibility that the release may be soon after that date

That is the date for State of Origin Game 2, definitely prime time to advertise a new launch
