Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

On a different note, do you think they'll use the 'Chip Away' commercial albeit tailored for the Australian market ie: RHD vehicle?

I LOVE that ad. Here 'tis if you haven't already seen it.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Jeep are not listed as sponsors on the State of Origin site or the NRL site. And as Holden IS listed I cant see them being happy with a strong Jeep ad presence. I think a link to the SoO games is not valid.
More likely is the hint that dealer senior staff are going to Melb on 12 Jun - launch the friday 14th ??
Just as an aside, that's the day my holden dealer told me he will have stock of the VF to show. Do you think the VF launch has any effect on JeepAU decision and timing?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

For the car buffs:
The sticker on the windscreen for this V8 said:-
Fuel Consumption: (L/100km) = 13.0 combined test
Urban 19.6
Extra Urban: 9.2
Co2 emissions (g/km) 304 combined test.

No, I don't have a good memory. It was one of the pics I took but withholding at moment in respect to the dealer.

McBain is on a distinguished road
A big thanks to all the posters on this forum, it's made an arduous 6months a little easier with some credible information about what us happening in regards to production and delivery.

This will be my first jeep, although I'm still considering canceling my order. I have a promised June delivery from a Dec order, but since I ordered I have had zip from the dealer. I understand their hands are tied (only through this forum), but communication has been non-existent. The JGC looks great, seems great value. But right now I have no loyalty to the brand, and a distinct reluctance to reward poor service. It's fair to say that whatever happens in the next couple of weeks will tip me one way or the other. I don't mind if the car is a couple of weeks late, but just be up front Jeep Australia!!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Welcome to the club McBain !! Many of us here posting on the forum have been waiting for quite a while for our cars - me personally since Nov last year - when the dealer stuffed my original order ( which worked out GREAT for me - getting the MY14 now ). Like many others have found out - not many dealers have the level of knowledge or expertise on the information for SRT MY14 that one would expect - we are very fortunate to have the likes of Milous and the group here - where we all share any bit of information we can get our hands on !!!

MINE SHOULD BE HERE IN JUNE TOO !!!!!

Webber, a quick question from my husband with regards to the seats. Did the seats have piping around them or were they just stitched? He hates piping.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

If you PM me your mobile number I will SMS you some pics but on the understanding that you do not post them. I am not a car buff so excuse my ignorance. This car was black interior. The piping was black too but about 2 or 3 inches in from the piping their is two rows of white stitching. The arm rest on the centre console only has white stitching, no piping.
It looks nicely done to me. It does not look like the collingwood football club with bright white piping around the edges of the seating. As I have said earlier though. I don't like black interiors anyway but this appears tasteful to me. However, I must ask you not to publish. Will send to help you with your anguish.
