Hi Scuba

Yes the CRD models have left. I know some have landed on grass and there are more on the way.

I cannot believe they will sit on cars in warehouses until July. If that quote is legit from a FCG spokesperson they are either throwing away sales in the busiest month of the year or purposely lying.
Either way I am close to walking away. If i don't get prices and solid info on a delivery date in the next 10 days then stuff them. I can buy something else and wait for the new WK3 in 2017
I have been buying a new car every 3-4 years for 30 years and have never been treated so poorly.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi a good friend of mine received this email when they told their dealer that ships had offloaded JGC s in aus "It is true that there are some in Australia but they are purely for Chrysler as demo vehicles for trade shows or public events (keep an eye on masterchef there may be a couple pop up there). Since they still have not shipped all the old models I doubt we will see them hit shelves before September. "................. masterchef something fishy me thinks.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Okay Jeep fans. I have a dilemma and need your help.
Laredo CRD is FINALLY on the boat headed to OZ.

However all the shit Jeep have put us all through and my run in with the now infamus Anne Tanner, and all the issues people are reporting with parts, after sales service, and lack of customer service both on here and on Jeeps own FB page has me thinking I have made a HUGE MISTAKE.
from FB
Thought I would also post on Jeep's page as Dodge Journey (2010 model) is part of the Chrysler Australia Group. My unused tow hook snapped while vehicle had to be towed back to dealer due to electronic ignition problem with the vehicle then crashing into my garage. Chrysler Australia does not have the moral or professional decency to answer my email/letter. Very poor workmanship and poor after sales service.
and
I just wanted to tell everyone not to park their JK wrangler 4 door nose down on an angle. They leak considerable water (Well swimming pool levels) and Chrysler Fiat have no fix or do not intend to manufacture a part to fix the issue. This is the official line I was given by both dealer and Manufacturer. Find it very dissapointing as I am a jeep fan with a TJ and an order in for a 2014 SRT8 Cherokee. They left me with no alternative but to commence legal proceeding. Shame I have to sue a brand I love just to get them to listen and not be arrogant. I will keep you guys posted if interested.
and
Is anyone out here having the same customer service issues as I am. They never return calls and I have an unresolved issue that has gone on for months.

Bloody Hell!!! Does anyone here who has previously owned or currently owns a Jeep have a good news story to tell me about this company!?

Now to make matters worse Nissan have offered me a new STX-550 for $14,077 off the recommended driveway price. Have one home tonight for an overnight test and it is WONDERFUL. Goes like a rocket, handles great even in the wet tonight, rides firm but not jarring and really comfortable. Well put together and, its Nissan so parts and service are no issue.
Comes with
• 170kW 3.0 litre V6 turbo-diesel with 550Nm of torque (same engine jeep use)
• 17" alloy wheels

It all depends, if you need to carry Motor bikes, tools or cement and stuff, then the STX-550. If you're after a 4X4 car, then the Jeep.

It's true that we've heard bad reports on service, faults and other. But we have also heard many glowing reports about the same Jeep. I thought my wife was perfect when I married her and then...

I have much the same question. I can look at a VF Calais V Sportswagon V8 with all the bells and whistles for $30k less than the SRT and no concerns about spares or service. I don't need off road capability and would lose the HK sound system and I admit the SRT is a better looking beast but 30k is a lot of lettuce.

Really don't know what to do.

Just wait until you see the SRT. If it's love at first sight then go for the SRT. I you still have doubts, then decide otherwise - but wait just a little longer.

Yours is an easy one. If you don't need 4X4 buy the Holden I would in a Heartbeat. Better still, go to HSV and still have money left over compared with the SRT and have MORE POWER AND TORQUE!.
• 325kW of power, 550Nm of torque — Available with 340kW R8 SV Enhanced option
• 20" cast flow-form alloy wheels with a machined face and Gloss Black accents
• Dual function Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs)
• Driver Preference Dial
• AP ventilated discs with forged 4-piston calipers
• Hi-Flow Intermediate with Bi-Modal Mufflers
• HSV Performance Suspension
• Remote Start (automatic transmission only)
• Head Up Display
• Forward Collision Alert

Same, if I didn't want the 4x4 capability I'd get a sportwagon.

And the navara 550 at that discount sounds pretty tempting if you need ute - I doubt it rides as good as the gc though.

They have me over a barrel.. It's puppy love, I love the jeep ... I will wait for the jeep .. Impatiently, but I shall still wait. They have a good thing and they know it.

May go bad or it may be the best car I've ever had.
In saying that, i may also get run off the road by a bus tomorrow, if I sleep In for 3 extra minutes and am off schedule. but I could also get run off the road running on schedule

Life is completely unknown, do what feels good at the time

Take a slab of beer down to your local Jeep service department and start building a relationship with the service manager. ... sounds like you will be needing him a lot owning a Jeep.
