Absolutely. Mine and others have left the factory. I just checked on the tracking and mine will shortly pass through the Panama Canal on the way to Brisbane. Arrival 26 June. With all this noise about a release on the 4th July, I might be lucky to have a short wait before I can drive mine around.

Alan - re: this part of your post:

Does anyone here who has previously owned or currently owns a Jeep have a good news story to tell me about this company!?
Currently have a WK MY08 Limited 5.7 Hemi and it's because of the reliability of this vehicle over the last 4 going on 5 years that we are upgrading to the MY14.

Looked at Audi's and RR's but we really love this current vehicle, hence staying with the brand. It's a workhorse - no doubt about that.

Good luck with your decision.

The SRT has 344.kw and 624nm torque. You really cannot compare the hsv vehicles, build quality and materials....laughable. The only .hsv vehicle matching above figures is the w427 with 7litre 375 .kw and 640nm torque and these are well over 100k second hand.

Jesus, thought this was a jeep forum? If fast cars are the requirement, then there are lots of different options, if fast suv,s are the requirement, it's a a short list.

Engine power is irrelevant anyway - the srt weighs 2.5t for chrissakes!

Agree Pharmaboy, just had to put my 2 bobs in, given my SRT is about to hit our shores and although it is a SRT, it is still a JEEP afterall.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I'm just considering my desired requirements for the group buy thread and have identified a couple of maybe's. I'm wondering if anybody knows(or knows where I can easily find) approximate prices for the following options when applied to an Overland, at least for MY12/13, hoping they don't vary too much.
- Offroad adventure
- Front tow hooks
- Quadra-Drive II
- Harmon Kardon sound system

Thanks,

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Having second thoughts is only natural when JEEP and their DEALERS treat you like SHIT.
But they do not give a toss while they are selling more than they can supply. We are only the vocal minority. What Jeep fails to understand is for every pissed off potential Jeep customer posting on here, 20 others have silently walked away from making a purchase. Eventually the buyers will stop buying and find something with better service levels.

As for my Jeep experience, initially it was bad, but the car is great and SVM Artarmon have given me great service, unlike their retarded cousin SVM Mosman.

As for purchasing a Navara, I could have gotten a ripper deal as my largest client is a Nissan dealer. I found the Navara very truck like. I also do not think the motors are the same. While they have the same specs, the V6 is a Renault motor, not a VM Motori.
You cannot directly compare the 2 vehicles, as they are different markets. The Nissan is the top spec Navara and the Laredo is the bottom spec JGC.
I would take the jeep any day after being in a few older Navara. They just are too truck like in all areas.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I've got 5 days to wait till the dealer supposedly can tell me when my car should arrive. If I don't receive a email Monday I will be on his doorstep Tuesday looking for my E number.
