Bluey,
This is very true, you cannot really blame anyone except JeepAU for accepting orders without revealing changes. I am sure by March they would have finalised the standard specs.
I am sure you will have a long list of people who will gladly swap out their standard CD with you FOC.....myself included.

Guys, don't know if we have covered the subject of extended warranty, but do we think it's worth it!. We do get the 3 year/100,000klm. In my case, i will reach 3 years way before the100,000klm cap, so i am thinking it may be a good idea. Does anyone know what the cost is and does it have to be taken up at the point of purchase?

Thoughts please!!!!

Just to put things into perspective, I've placed all of my music on iTunes which took some time, but it is better to manage all of your music in one location. Remember tapes anyone. It took two days for the computer to transfer all my files to the SD Card. Mind you, there were 6000 files to convert. Now I have my complete library with me in my Jeep. No need for a CD player in my Jeep, but unfortunately I will have one.

when our local dealer thought that we were in the market for a my13 , couldn't do enough for us ( or at least made us feel like we were getting the best deal) now since we said that we would wait for the my14 silence. Then when l started putting forward some of the info l had aquired from JG l was treated more like a leper, l recently mentioned werribee jeeps position re having models on show and asked when l could possibly expect to be able to see some on their lot, well lets just say that even though it was a completly innocent question it didn't go down well, to say that there may be a little bit of professional jealousy out there would be a bit of an understatement.I would imagine that even though we as potential customers have suffered the frustration of no info and delays through jeepau the fact that you may have testy dealers who have been through the mill as well is not going to make for a happy interaction between sales staff and customers. Due to the whole supply situation l don't think that there is going to be much in the way of sweetners or discounts to look forward to on purchase either. The catch 22 of course is that this is a good looking/ well finished vehicle and even though l could say give us a good deal or we will walk jeepau KNOW they have a good thing and that a lot of people want it, so bad behaviour or not they will still come out on top. It just sucks that after all the hard yards the engineers and designers have put into creating something special jeepau are doing their best to piss people off with their arrogant attitude. hoping for a cherry red my14 laredo SOON !

Well that is the end of that.
Terrible service from Jeep Au since October 2012.
Now the dealer has refused to offer anything to win us back to the brand, partly they state because I expressed my frustration and commented upon the service I had received here on Jeep Garage and on Facebook.

I could go to another dealer, one recommended by the good people of this forum, but then should I have a warranty issue we would be dealing with the local dealer who does not want our money and with the Jeep Australia. Living in a fairly remote part of the country you have to trust your equipment and suppliers. Jeep have not given us any reason to do so.
Also we would be waiting ANOTHER three months or more for our car. Time to say ENOUGH!
The Jeep is a wonderful and beautiful thing, but we are both totally over being treated so poorly and we, with our money will be off to where we feel valued. Seeing as this is also the local Holden/HSV dealer they have also lost our next buy as well which was to have been the new HSV GTS next year. Sure the dealer in Townsville will like my money and I will enjoy the trip home.
We will never consider a Jeep product again. Off our shopping list for good. Sticking with Subaru (terrific products and service) Holden, Ford, Mazda and Nissan (rock solid products, good deals, good people to deal with). Jeep Australia and Irelands of cairns.

Shame Ireland Jeep, you could have saved a sale and a lot of bad press for your dealership, however you have pissed off a customer and everyone on this forum.
I will be sure to make sure any of my Cairns friends who are considering a Jeep, never set foot in your business. You could have stepped up and shown your level of service, instead you chose the easy route and for that you are forever shamed. Being this thread always has 20+ people looking at it 24/7, I am sure it will cost you many sales into the future.

You sure about that?

As I read it, someone has complained numerous times to local jeep, to the dealership principle, to Chrysler USA, has publicly done so, has published emails that he was given in good faith, and has already said he is keen on a different car.

Some customers are always going to be more effort than they are worth.

This may be the case in some areas, but from what I have been reading for the past few months Irelands have been uncommunicative and providing poor service to Alan's wife. She was the one who spat the dummy and it is up to Irelands to make peace. I run a service business and would never treat my clients like that.
I have real PIA clients, but I always admit fault and make every effort to make things right. I guess that the word Service can mean many things to many people.
I also think Pharmboy is a stooge for Irelands, as you have had your fair share of comments on this subject. If you are not a stooge, then you think like a Jeep dealer in regards to service.
