You say the Disco is a great option, but I have the same problem you have (wife hates the look) very roomy.
Touareg ? now with 8speed auto and air suspension.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

My first post on this forum. I have been watching it though for quite a few weeks and first and foremost a thank you for all the input. It has been very helpful.

We currently have (and have had for a few years) a 2007 WH Limited 5.7 Hemi. I love her and we have had no issues. She's getting up in Km's on the clock so we need to upgrade and so about 12 months ago we visited our local dealer ready to upgrade and found a 2012 demo Overland vehicle they had. The Overland is want we want and will not consider anything less. This particular one had an exterior colour of winter frost which was my first choice so we offered cash on the spot for the vehicle.

They refused saying it was the only demo vehicle they had, couldn't let it go and they could order us in a new one with a 6 month wait list. No deal - we left.

12 months later and we still wait - like the rest of you. My husband of course in the mean time found out (through this forum) that the 2014 model is coming and refuses to purchase anything less than that model now. And I agree. We will not purchase a 2013 when the 2014 is on offer.

Last week I got the irks with the waiting and started looking at Q7's and the RR Sport. As much as I want to say they would be fine, the reality is they are not fine.

I cannot get my head around a Q7 on our acreage with all our slippery slopes and as for the RR - no. That doesn't work either. The gradients are not to be messed with and I only have faith in the Jeep. (Better the devil you know type scenario).

So just like the rest of you we are being patient but I tell you - it's driving me mad. (pardon the pun).

Anyway, I just wanted to thank you all for a very informative thread. Like the rest of you we wait and scratch our head at the decisions being made by Chrysler.

Patience is a virtue apparently.

Like you, I have found this forum to be a wealth of knowledge, as well as somewhere to vent from time to time. I'm sure the members here will know when the MY14 is due to be released and details before the dealers.

Welcome .. Have you now got an order in for an MY14 also? now you have a place to filter and screen the dealers comments for BS, it's a great place to "compare notes"

We haven't placed an order yet Robo. I asked our dealer if we could do and he said yes but he could not give us at that point (4 weeks ago) any exterior/interior colour choices, nor could he give us a definitive price.

Price wise it doesn't matter to us - We expect to go the $80k mark, happy to go a bit higher and we have our current Jeep as a trade-in as well. Perhaps 15-17k for that but price is not really a factor in the decision. We want the Overland regardless.

Until the dealership can give us clear choices on all options including colours we are not prepared to make an order. Twice I've called him now in the last month and each time he has said 'no info from Chrysler yet - will let you know as soon as we know'.

Dealership is Macarthur Jeep NSW.

I wish I could... the jury is still out. Just confirmed that an AU spec Summit model is now enroute to Australia (Melbourne)... ETA is 2nd week of April.

First batches of 2014 AU builds will start shipping from the U.S. this month...

I will have more information on the AU Overland in a couple days .

The first batches will start shipping this month! ? , so does that mean they are already build Milous? was under the impression they were only being built March/April then ship... well its good news if so

I would consider getting some sort of order in for your Overland ( Diesel?) and the colour. there is enough info on this site to make an educated guess as to what you will get.. problem is if you wait the delivery date is going to keep slipping out, I believe they are already out to about August, possibly September from the indications my dealer has.

This probably is a silly question because you would not be waiting for the Jeep if the Toureg was better but interested to hear some reasoning from someone knowledgable.
