Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

When I saw the white and black at castle hill today I thought, hmmm, not so special. A nice mid model update but I'll keep my MY12 for a while longer thanks.

But that Deep Cherry Red that DCRSRT posted is AMAZING.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Feel free to block me - but just like everyone here i am also venting my frustration at seeing the negativity towards the car - one that i might add no one has seen or taken possession of yet. Can we not just look at the car in all it's glory - look at the changes which Chrysler/Fiat made which brings the car into another dimension - which i believe puts it in a league of its own!! It really is an amazing piece of machinery - maybe it be proven not to be as perfect as I am making out to be - but at least wait - get it - and make your deternination.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Just had an exciting moment driving into my town (in the Yarra Valley) on the way home from work. Two new 2014s - red & granite - drove past me in the rain. The daytime running lights looked really speccy. Looks so much better on the road. All those US videos really don't show how good they are in the flesh.
I'm starting to sound like a kid again!! (my missus will confirm that)

I do agree with you to extent, but I personally don't have any negativity towards the car and I doubt most people on here do. I love mine and I suspect a lot of comments here are frustration coming through for people making a major purchase. And the interweb means that sometimes too much information is available to get churned up about. I know I had my fair share of issues when I took delivery - but it is all good now.

What I think frustrates a lot of people is what seem to be crazy decisions by Jeep Au - But I accept this is from the outside looking in. I'm sure to Jeep Au they make perfect sence. They are marketing, creating a buzz, for thousands of sales, not just a few on JG. Im not saying individual issues are not important - just trying to give some perspective. Feel free to disagree.

I'm a bit worried that no one has seen an SRT in the wild yet. It might seem crazy to us that Jeep Au would withhold release of the SRT, but this is standard practice in the car biz to hold your hero model over and release it late.

In fact this is exactly what happens in my line of work, we release out best widgets last too.

If this happens there are some SRT hopefulls here who are going to go nuts, think it is a crazy decision etc etc. But it is marketing 101.

I hope I'm wrong.
