THE RACE IS ON!! SO CLOSE YET SO FAR AWAY!!
I've got my fingers crossed. Been out all day but still hoping to get my car late tomorrow (Friday) or Saturday. I will let you know. Bad luck about your Monday collection but could still very well be that late for me too yet..

With all this talk about cars being delivered in the next few days, what happened to all the "formal launch" talk..and July release etc? Have Jeep AU decided to let go early?

I am assuming that Monday is now the official launch (or soft launch maybe)?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hey webber, have you asked Shannon about the possibility of tow hooks on the MY14's. they said the service guys were going to look at it for me this week, but I haven't chased them up as I know that they have a lot on this week and mine is two months away. I might even drive out there again on Saturday for another look and to see if any others have come in.

If it is not the warranty, it's the tyres, or the servicing, or Chrysler Fiat??

I would say get a life - but that would be too simple as it seems that this forum IS your life !!

Many of you seem in "lala" land - come down to earth and realise that nothing in life is perfect - your complaining will get you no where - accept the facts and move on.
Chero8...you badly need to ring Shannon at Werribee Jeep and mention my name. You've got it all wrong. Some members have praised their dealers as being very good. I have feed back from a few members now who have PM'd me to say they have found Shannon "THE BEST". Whilst my price was very good I actually had an offer (in writing) from another dealer to supply me an Overland at Invoice price....and you know what. I rejected it and paid Shannon a higher price because of his service. I am hoping to say more about that at a later date but in the meantime why not talk to Shannon and then comment on this forum how you found him. I have been trying to work on Shannon (and hopefully indirectly then Chrysler Australia) to appreciate more the value of a site like this. It's not easy turning dealers thoughts about Jeepgarage around but I really do think Shannon has a lot more respect for this forum now. He has been experiencing the power of this site 1st hand now...so give him a ring.

I think complaining means that we're alive and that we know what we want and expect. I haven't read anyone being derogatory or defamatory (other than to Anne Tanner.. but that's another story).

Actually we've been on a journey together and we're finally started to see dry land on the horizon. I only regret that, inevitably once we get our MY14 JGC in the near future, that we'll stop this thread and probably never hear from each other again.

Personally I've enjoyed the banter, the rage as well as the constructive criticism. This is my first brand new car I've ever bought may be my last one. I've enjoyed the ride thus far and hope to hear from you all again.

I'm with you Captain. My wife has been a Jeepgarage widow for months now but it has really helped me over the 16 month wait. It would be nice to meet somewhere but it won't happen, which is a real shame, because we all lead very busy lives and no-one will be able to co-ordinate it into reality....but lets do try and visit this site from time to time....even if it is the MY15 or MY16 thread. I for one will be watching this site over the coming years searching for the second coming of Robo_70. I know his reason for dropping his purchase which is for the very best of reasons but I am backing him to be driving a Jeep in the next major shape change.
