Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

What warranty is offered in Australia. I see that the US GC have a 5 year drivetrain warranty.

Wish I was in your shoes Webber. I only joined JGC family in March by putting a deposit on CRD after test drive and my wife already calls me Jeep Tragic. I have been following this thread with much interest with all the different views. Now to hear from an unbiased !!!!!! man who is about to take the keys to his new ride. Congratulations

Not sure if webbers misses should be more concerned with Webbers jeep garage obsession, or his Shannon obsession.......

Thx a10 , Just checked out retained values, and the cost of driving the limited for 3 years instead of a laredo seems to be around $4 to 4.5k ( sorry big time value person)

Just checked out the Cherry Red Overland at Five Dock. Very similar specs to the MY13. Unfortunately did not get the Adaptive Headlights, do no looking around corners. No open pore wood trim. No Harmon Karman sound system. But the 8 speed box and retuned suspension has made a BIG difference, for the better, on road. The V6 engine is now more than satisfactory in this new configuration.
So lots of gin ahead. Excerpts tracking info still has mr CRD in Detroit. So can't enjoy it till mid August.
As Webber says - patience.

Gee I'm such a kill joy.

Glad to see some of you are getting some light at the end of the tunnel, and about to take delivery of your vehicles. Very envious.

You sure it was an Overland? I was down there yesterday and they had a Cherry Red Limited in the showroom with the V6.

Did you test drive?

The Overland was outside with the Limited in the showroom. The comments on its drive ability came from the salesman who had go of it last night! Would seem the suspension was retuned because of the 8 speed box. I also wonder if the lack of adaptive headlights is also a steering column issue with the Oz version incompatible with the adaptive setup. But the 300 has them!

Still at Werribee Jeep. I have just been united with the prettiest blonde ever. An excellent companion for my brunette wife. Blown away. Two hours guidance just on how to operate this girl. Collosie from Healesville attended the Wedding. Great to say hello to a fellow jeepgarage member. I will post more ASAP. Still got to do the extended warranty bit before I go.

Congratulations Webber.. Enjoy the beast you so deserve after such a LONG wait. Shannon will lost next week and will wonder why he has so much time on his hands again but then again you may have generated another 10 sales to keep him off the streets.
Negotiate hard on the extended warranty mate, if you don't get 30% of the retail I'll be surprised.
Looking forward to seeing your happy snaps
