Very entertaining. Loved his Spiderman one from 2 yrs ago. Must of taken him a while to do it. Well Done.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Sorry guys, just got home. Have only done 60KM from Werribee to the reception (my work) and wife and I have only just finished and got home. The Brunette, who has not had a chance to see this girl has asked that seeing we are now living in a poligamist relationship that we all go for a small drive so after a cup of tea I'm taking two of the prettiest girls out for a short spin, one dark and one blonde. Hymer (Rob) has agreed to help me get some pics up later tonight (providing he is not napping). If you are under 40 this car is a breeze. If you are over 60 then its back to (computer) school for you. First point I have noticed coming home after dark that there is no ambient lighting under the seats which I thought we were getting. I did buy it as an accessory for the MY12 that I never got so I may be able to have that fitted to this girl. OK. sorry for delays but some of us had to work (it helps pay for these luxuries).

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Milous, Thanks for posting this. I will be waiting a bit because I have a company car for now but the drive in a 2013 CRD Limited lit my eyes up somewhat. It looks like the 2014 model will be even more impressive. Hope the falling exchange rate doesn't burn any of us too badly. As an aside, it would be nice to see an RHD range of RAMs with the 3.0 CRD appear on the showroom floor. A stronger ute at a decent price would really put a cat among the Toyota Pigeons.

Have you worked out the ambient lighting? May be a setting on the touch screen.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

If Hymer is not in bed the first pics show a person deteriorating quickly. But never too old to be playing around with a girl like this. The curves on her are nothing but gorgeous and very seductive eyes.
Just got back from a brief 15Km night drive. Such a smooth ride. Night lights are excellent...so bright. good spread. You don't need spot lights mounted with these.
Automatic high beams are really good. I have no complaints. They go to high and low beam depending on your speed. They detect oncoming traffic from nearby and a great distance....100's of metres but still keep the road well lit. They know when they are glaring into the rear of a car and lower automatically. They detect cars approaching from side roads and dip automatically. The automatically return to high beam 1 to 1.5 seconds after passing the car. If someone overtakes you they dip at the appropriate time. They are really good. I cannot understand why I have read complaints about them.
Interior lighting is so classy. Extremely bright and clear but you can lower the brightness. I am disappointed with no ambient lighting....it may well be there but just not activated. I am lucky, as posted earlier, I had purchased it for the MY12 so I can have that fitted and I can change the colours under front and rear seats.
Heated steering wheel is lovely....very subtle heat, I would actually like to be able to turn it up higher....perhaps when reading the manual I may be able to.
Heated seats are also wonderful but again only a low level of warmness. Again I would not mind turning them up higher but the brunette said, "what do you wan't to do, give yourself cancer. It's going to take a while to learn all the stuff on the 8.4" screen...so clear. They are very easy to learn but there is just so much on it. It is going to take a while to get my head around it and that needs to be done whilst in a stationary position not driving down the highway and I have not had time to just sit in the car and play with the dials.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Even at my age it was easy to pair the phone in. Voice command worked well and voice clarity is good. I have not learnt yet whether I can lower or raise the voice for the bluetooth phone through the car....almost certainly will be able to be done.
Tails lights are sooooo classy. I have taken pics which will come through in the next wave after Hymer posts the first lot.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

unfortunately the camera cannot pic up the LED's tail lights. They are really nice and a real bright reddish colour. When taking a pic it just shows up as yellow...in reality it is nothing like that. Love the downward bright light under the rearvision external mirrors which light up the ground on drivers and passengers front sides.
FOOTBRAKE: Another thing not to worry about. It works fine and I have not found it in the way at all. I actually quite like it. Don't be concerned over this feature.
The Gear lever is great...another area that has received criticism. You soon learn the fineness in its use. Works fine...I love it. The lighting on the handle is bright, bright white. All the buttons on the steering wheel are lit in a muted way and easily seen.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I have not put on the "active cruise control" yet so cannot comment but the young guy giving me the 2 hour demo. (as helpful as Shannon is, being the General Sales manager, he could not afford the time to spend two hours going through everything with me). Anyway, I said to David the Active Cruise control only has four bars and I thought they were for 1, 2, 3 and 4 car distances behind the car in front. I said I never like to drive 4 car lengths behind the car in front let alone 1, 2 or 3 car lengths. I like to have about 100 metres between me and the car in front. He assured me the four bars had nothing to do with "car lengths". He said I will find those 4 settings far more practical and the 4th bar gives you a huge margin of distance from the car in front. I am working all day again tomorrow so I probably won't get to try this feature till later in the week which by then SLandyl or others may be able to contribute.
