Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Webber,

My bank manager/secretary/cook/cleaner/carer had a look at your NEW CAR photos and was impressed.

Being a dyed in the wool pragmatist, she suggested getting another set of Jeep floor mats coloured Black.

Reason being when you cart your products around and being in the agricultural products business, those loverly cream//bone carpets are going to soil.

Use the black carpets for work and swap out for social cream/bone carpets.

Sage advice from my pragmatic/bank/manager/secretary/cook/cleaner/carer.

Otherwise love the blonde to death!!

Hymer/Bluey/Rob

He said to look closely before you buy. His advice was that if you start up speccing a Limited you will nearly have an Overland but when you go for resale it will still be a Limited and will reflect a base Limited resale value. They may take some things into account. But if you bite the bullet and get the Overland you get all those extras but get the resale of a base Overland.
Marketing theory 101.

Remember the Holden 4.2 V8, nobody wanted one on the resale market.

Agree, I just had the same thought when looking at your pics.

Some more Pics have been uploaded by someone.

As for the whole value, resale thing, I have always been told that ultimately you get no money back for every extra option you tick.

Limited sounds like the way we are going. With Lux II pack.
I want those ventilated seats, plus it will be nicer with Nappa.

Webber, I think your pics have turned us from black interior to
Ventilated Axis Perforated Nappa Leather Trim Light Frost Beige (Available).
The only hang up will be if it causes a major delay.

Snuke, have a read of the ventilated seats thread. It's only cabin air , and can only be felt when fan is on high.

Would be totally awesome if it were connected to the air con system to cool your arse on a summers day, but alas no.

Not sure if this is a reasonable comparison
My G6E turbo beats my old mans v8 land cruiser every time and he has two extra cylinders and a spare turbo charger.
Admittedly the SRT Is certainly no Landcruiser but is carrying several hundred extra kg's over the new HSV's
The new HSV's look awesome by the way!

I can confirm that for you Sick Truck. Sat in our Overland today and definitely gloss not open pore.

The Deep Cherry Red on ours is an outstanding colour by the way.

That is fine, you only want a small amount.
After touching the Nappa Overland seats today, they are SOOOOO much nicer than than the standard leather, $700 no brainer option.

Took a few pics at Penrith today.
They had a white Overland like Webbers but black interior.
Laredo in Max Steel, Granite & Forrest Green.
Limited Billet Silver and Max Steel.
SRT - White standard Wheels

Pics can be seen here as usual

Some for direct view now.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi & Question for Webber

What Service & Warranty book (not Owners Manual) did they give you? Is it just the generic dark green Jeep service book with a picture of Jeep grille bars on the front or was it something different?

I have not seen that gold/bronze/copper interior trim in the flesh but it I would struggle with it, just does not look right (Moroccan sunset or something) The US guys that saw the early models said it was ok, what's the local opinions of those that have seen physically seen it.? .? The matt silver in SRT and Summit looks more stylish IMO.
