No one can give any assurances what so ever if Jeep Australia will not at some stage in the future bringing in the Summit or other changes to the make up of models

Jeep Australia don't know what they are doing from one day to the next

Webber.. I have asked again about the Summit on Facebook...http://www.facebook.com/jeepaustralia
Even though dealers are unanimous in saying NO Summit, it seems there are still units coming here as sighted by Milous.. I expect Jeep Aus to provide another lame answer but let's see.

I will be content with the Overland but the copper looking trim on the black interior is taking a LOT to get used to, where the Summits black interior has the nice brushed alloy looking trim.
The guys who have seen and own the Overland w black interior say the copper trim looks good and is a subtle hue but I guys I need to see it with my own eyes.

True, if the bothered with a low volume Trail Hawk it's an indication that they are not rigid with the model line up.

Let us know how the wheelin and dealin goes..
One dealer here in Sydney is claiming that they are charging the current MY13 RRP for MY14 pre orders. If the MY 14 RRP goes up they will absorb the differences, if the RRP goes down the customer will be paying less.

This is a very good point. They will bring in trailhawks and then have dealers tell us we don't sell enough Summits to justify them. It does not make sense. I'd like to wager they'd sell more Summits than SRT's and they bring those in. Why not just follow the States and Europe and run with the range rather than optioning up an Overland as our top spec model. There would hAve to be added costs in reconfiguring the assembly line one would think.

We signed a contract for the my13 - dealer (who is clueless about the my14) told me the same as you - if the price is higher, they will absorb the cost, if its lower we will get the savings. Got this in my email still so if the overland rocks up and they are actually dearer, they'll be taking the costs for it.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I should mention we signed the contract for the my13 when we pulled the trigger to order one back in november. Missed out by around a week on ordering one - rolled over to the my14. Glad we took that extra couple weeks to decide!

Welcome to the waiting ....

I wonder how many of us are in the same position, settling in for the long haul. This forum has been the ONLY source of reliable information for me, and has kept my sagging spirits up.

On a positive note, I tell myself I'm almost half way through my waiting, having ordered in November.
