Maaaaate! You're always welcome to drop by. Couple of good Aussie pubs nearby that serves some decent grub. All Mexicans are welcome.

Queenslanders are not welcome for the next few weeks unless either NSW wins next game or you wear a Blues jumper.

If they don't have hard drives, what is the storage capacity the spec refers to?

Mine is half MP3 and in the process of being changed to AAC as it is a superior format.
That said, I stream via bluetooth, so that extra compression would destroy any difference.
I mainly listed to podcasts though so irrelevant.

Hell, this is the woman's car, I will only drive it maybe 6-10 times a year.
She will probably just listed to the radio or stream of phone too.
Will have to see how easy it is to operate.

I can't see anywhere where it says only MP3.
the Uconnect website is useless
Uconnect® | Find the right Uconnect system for your Jeep® Vehicle

The user manual isn't clear either.

Not all Class 10 cards are created equal.
They have different speed ratings.

A Sandisk Class 10 Extreme card has a read/write speeds of up to 45MB/s Sandisk Class 10 Extreme Pro card has a read/write speeds of up to 95MB/s
I just purchased a 64GB Sony card for my video camera as it has read/write speeds of up to 94MB/s, but $55 cheaper than the Sandisk Extreme Pro.
Yep I realise that, there is just something cheesey I think about using a SD card as the storage device. Good SSD have read speeds of 5X that of the good SD cards. I guess I will have to live with it.

Aha! Another challenge. If there's a problem then invariably there's always a solution. I'm sure someone from my collective JeepGarage friends will come out with a solution!

A suggestion - if we have a CD player in the console, then we have power and audio connection to the "system". What could we replace the CD with that would solve our audio SSD Hard-drive issues?

Now there's an ideas man! I was thinking of using the space for my UHF, all it needs is a wire run for the handset.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

You could put a fanless media center in there, or a USB NAS with a couple of TB in storage. Personally I would want to put my loose crap in there and not have a lump of expensive last century hardware.

Auscop, my build sheet, though, says that is has ABAA Australia Equipment Group so it may just have Jennifer Hawkins instead! Now that's a Luxury Pack!!
So Webber, what does your AFF DO? Which Jennifer is it?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

No CD player does mean room for other purposes. For me too, I will be putting my UHF in there. Perfect spot for it. Only need to run the aerial to it.
Uniden UH7760NB is the perfect fit. Has the digital readout and the speaker in the handset. 18km range and 80 channels.
