Even though dealers are unanimous in saying NO Summit, it seems there are still units coming here as sighted by Milous.. I expect Jeep Aus to provide another lame answer but let's see.

I will be content with the Overland but the copper looking trim on the black interior is taking a LOT to get used to, where the Summits black interior has the nice brushed alloy looking trim.
The guys who have seen and own the Overland w black interior say the copper trim looks good and is a subtle hue but I guys I need to see it with my own eyes.
and Mark, I sent a letter off to the Managing Director of Chrysler Australia, Port Melbourne last week asking about the Overland and Summit. Do you think I will get a reply?.....and hey, you will love your Overland. I will too. But I still would be mad if they then introduced the Summit. At least with the Overland I can get my desired colour combination, Bright White with Light Frost interior. With Summit I would have to go with Jeep Brown. As far as seeing that copper trim before you take delivery, thats not looking good. You will need to start rationalising like I am preparing to do. Best thing is that Milous is obviously going to see something very soon to answer a lot of questions like, are the Aussie Overlands coming down the line with "recovery hooks".

Who is the dealer ? Can you PM me ? Cheers Beggsy

No I don't think you will get a reply. Call me old fashioned, but I wrote to Clyde Campbell when the issue of recovery hooks etc came up for me a year ago. Not even an aknowledgement letter in reply. In the long run they took notice when they got a phone call from Department of Fair Trading. Chrysler choose to do things the hard way every time.

That's whats I figured. I will wait a week or two and then ring them to ask what is happenning to my letter in reply. I suspect I will get nowhere with that either.

I've got a few years on you Mark. I wouldn't know how to. I still use the phone and write letters.

First batch of retail RHD Overlands for Australia have been built...

NONE have the HK audio.

NONE have the Adaptive Headlamps.

Milous, you are about to get inundated with emails from OZ. This first batch of Overlands I presume will be spec/demo/display vehicles and quite likely all those advanced orders they have from dealers. If these Overlands have most of the other specs of the Summit it starts to indicate that this will be our "top of range" model. I am sure there are lots of us here glued to our computers now for more news.....and thanks for this HOT information.

NO sign of any Summit features on these Overlands...
