There is no guarantee that all ships shown will be carrying Jeeps. You can do a little research if you want to know more.

That's my ship at the top of the list - Tonsberg. I've already lost a day - supposed to arrive 29th June and this list says 30th June!

I am trying to find additional tyres ahead of getting my Jeep.

Also are there any numbers / letters etc. on the rim that I could compare with the Laredo rim at my dealer to ensure identical ?

Appreciate your help (or anyone with an Overland ORAII).

Thanks

How accurate is the shipping schedules and allocations? My dealer is insisting mines due before end of the month and I heard something like turango but according to my sheet it's not due in till 11th or 14th of July on the Carmen.

Thanks SJandL (quicker response than Jeep Aus)

I will google the KL21's tonight but based on the thread posted by SNUKE I don't think I'll be buying an additional 3 new tyres (for my camper trailer) to match those! More likely I may need to buy 8 new AT tyres (ouch! $$$).

I'm thinking of installing mopar side steps on my MY14. I thought of doing it myself and save close on $1k. Does anyone know of a thread or YouTube link that guides through the installation? I only ask as I can't find anything on google.

Webber, I trust your trip up to Benalla was enjoyable to say the least?
How did the Jeep go, and what sort of fuel economy did u get for the return trip?

You will get very good fitting instructions with the Mopar side steps, it is not hard, just a little bit fiddley It will take probably 1 hour to fit the first one, 1/2 hour for the second. It can be done WITHOUT removing lower plastic body panel (as suggested in instructions)
Hope this helps Barry

Review of Overland!

ACC - No stop and start... I was testing it up to a set of lights last night and cuts out under 20ish... But cuts out.. So bugger! Not a big deal however stop start would have been cool.. I also thought it would have it..

The Really Bad:

Last night, 1hr after getting the car I was driving with my brother and noticed a wallaby on the side of the road.. He started off into the bush, THEN BAM! U turned back out into the front of the GC...

Taking it to panel shop today as have a hairline crack in the lower part of the front bumper paint... SO I GUESS I TAKE THE AWARD FOR FIRST TO HIT AND DAMAGE A 2014 JGC!!....

Note to animal people: Wallaby was A OK!, was a low impact bump but still enough to tarnish my wifes 1hr old JGC.. So I'm now in the dog house!

To everyone else, when you get them check for fogging in the headlights as we have some on both sides.. Have been told by the dealer if it doesn't clear up we will have new ones installed.

Apart from that it is the most amazing Jeep ever! The dash LCD is GREAT!!... Love the petrol engine as you would never know its running half the time.. So quiet and heaps of poke!

If any other questions let me know..

Also 64GB SD seems to work fine!.. Still testing all the tech stuff.. Blutooth Iphones with audio streaming is GREAT!!.. Auto plays when you get in the car and work with all media on the screen.

Hope you all get yours ASAP as they are GREAT!!

I have been told those fogging headlights is nothing. On the day I collected my car I saw fogging in the headlights. Shannon informed me that that is normal now. These headlights are no longer sealed units. Water can only get into them, and then only fragments, when under high pressure hosing down/washing. The new lights apparrently have a drainage hole hidden underneath and water would not normally enter unless under extreme pressure. The whole purpose of the air hole/drainage is to allow the moisture to evaporate. Shannon said their were faults with the sealed lights because any moisture inside them could not get out. I have noticed mine fog up a bit (like today in Benalla) and then clear again. So who knows. If they are meant to have a drainage hole then they will not need replacing.

Odometer now has about 600K. Extremely pleased with my car. Fuel economy moved between 6 to 9 Ltrs/100km. Friends of ours who occupied the rear seat had only purchased a new Toyota Rav 4 three weeks ago and twice on the way up the commented on how the could not believe how smooth the ride was. Will be back soon to give first thoughts on Adaptive Cruise Control and the appearance of 3M/and observations by friends and us of the "Pano" roof.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The Jeep Australia website states that (for the 2013 JGC) the trailer Group includes the Class IV hitch, as well as the wiring etc.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Towing
Towing Capability

The Trailer Tow Group includes a Class IV receiver hitch, trailer tow wiring harness and Trailer Sway Control(1) (TSC).

Yet I have seen many discussions on such things as the best hitch to fit, even when the wiring was available.
Does anyone know whether the hitch is included with the trailer prep group for the 2014?
