Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Our Laredo CRD is expected to arrive in Fremantle on the 26th June [Taiko Vessel Log], subject to no delays at port melb, fremantle or inbetween. this is agrees with what our dealer (JH) has advised us, + an approx 2 week wait for it to go through customs/predelivery. i would highly doubt it will be available until nearly mid month.

Peanut, have you got an E-number [consignment number] yet from the dealer? if you have and are a premium member, contact milous and he can tell you the vin & buildsheet if you are level 4, and you can track it as well through walleniuos wilhelmson (excuse spelling!)

He has not informed you of the time it will take to clear Prix Cars. That can be around 2 weeks. So realistically, dont expect to see your car before mid July.

Well he emailed me back the sheet with the vin number etc. and now it is arriving on the 2/7/2013 on the Tamesis and should be ready for pick up on the 18/7/2013. My next query with him is what is the AFF-AFF Luxury Group on the bottom of the sheet ? is this my tow bar?

I will be picking up GJC overland in about a week. Has anyone got a list things that I should check prior to taking delivery?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

This is looking good, my dealer gave me a date of 15th of July and looking at this and Freo arrival times, he may be not far off the mark, congrats to all who have already received theirs and happy driving

Our black Pajero is the opposite, it enhances the dirt.
Might be the type of white or paint, but the white falcon looked crap when it got slightly dirty.

One of my reasons for wanting the Billet Silver was to help it look better for longer.
Also to hide any scratches better than the darker colours.
I reckon you're right about silver hiding the dirt. I used to have a silver Audi TT and it always looked clean until I washed it and then you could see what clean really was.

Check out a post by AllyPally...think it might be on WK2Downunder if you do a search. I used his list when picking up mine. Good Luck.

Ok, first post ever on a forum, hope I get it right!

Chrysler NHTSA dispute resolved, with a hitch?

Does this mean I dont need to negotiate a tow bar?

That's right. And unfortunately, we use a different towbar anyway.

The issue relates to Grand Cherokee prior 2004. If you are getting a MY14 than the recall doesn't apply.

Hey, well done Buster01 for your first post - and welcome aboard! You provided a great tid-bit.

I not sure what it means for Australia but I'm going to ask a couple I know whether there could be an impact for our MY14s. I hope so as I wouldn't mind a free tow-bar.

I do feel bad, though, for those who did pay for their bars.
