And if you're picking it up from "The Hills" let me know and we'll have a schooner-burger (of course not before you plan to drive..).

Maybe we'll call in the locals as well!

That is the current plan, via Canberra and Wagga Wagga. Was taking to someone on my old 4WD forum, he suggested to Canberra via Nowra and Braidwood. And from Canberra to Wagga Wagga via Shannons Flat and Tumut on the Snowy Mountains Hwy. Those routes would give the new car a good variance in speed and would be a lot more scenic.

If you want to take a small detour on the way to Canberra and go via Picton way (or thereabouts - not really Picton), drop in and see us.

I will be picking up an Overland CRD from Northstar motor group at Kippa ring next week, I hope. When getting quotes in December their price was much better and the service and attitude from them has been great. Very personal service. I would recommend that you at least ring and talk to Chris Sleeman.

Good to see a recommendation for a Brisbane dealer. I'm in for the group buy so hopefully I won't need it but I'll keep in mind just in case.

Thanks, will keep that in mind. At the moment plans are not set at all. Don't plan on traveling too much each day as the wifer is in full time studies at ACAP. Depending on how much she can study in the car will determine how much we drive each day.

That is some drive to Alice Springs. Probably not the best during winter, but an interesting one.
I would have thought this time of the year, the route to Alice would be going up the Pacific Hwy, then cutting across to Tennant Crk. The variation is traffic would give you the variations in speed.
The road from Nowra to Braidwood, is mostly unsealed.

Thanks for that, I will call over this week and speak to him. I am looking at a Limited / White to tow our new Caravan.
Do you have any idea what sort of discount is (if any) on offer? I was told by another dealer all Prices have to be approved by Chrysler Aust.
Cheers.

Perhaps said dealer needs to be informed of the ACCC, and that the cartel and collusion aspects of the law have moved into the criminal codes with custodial sentences being default.

Or,....... he has no idea. Lol .

It would be an interesting drive, we would need to keep an eye on road conditions. We did a 10000km Kimberley trip last year so this trip is relatively short. I also try and avoid Tennant Creek like the plague. As for the Nowra part if we decide to skip the unsealed part we may go down to Batemans Bay. Would I be correct in guessing we would then miss the dirt?
