Do you have any idea what sort of discount is (if any) on offer? I was told by another dealer all Prices have to be approved by Chrysler Aust.
Cheers.
Yeah Leo Muller told me much the same thing. "Jeep won't guarantee our price if we discount" I wondered about the legality.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Gday guys,
I have been told I should be taking delivery 1st week of july.I have a strong suspician it will be the 4 july.To get ahead of things (homework) I've been back tracking posts to find out the price increase from the my13 to the my14,I do remember a post saying an increase. Is there a standard increase for a Laredo, limited etc .I do have a clause stating up to $2000.Any info would be appreciated guys.

I am planning a white car myself and am thinking about the 3M film but don't know the answer to the question above. I do know that the factory applied small pieces of clear film just in front of the rear wheels on older cars do exhibit a black line around the edges of the film.

Also, did the 3M film get applied on the lower removable portion of the front bumper? If so did it get applied in one piece or two pieces, ie, a piece for the lower removable bumper part and another piece for the main front bumper or was it in one piece for the whole bumper (lower removable bumper and main bumper)? Just in case you go off-roading and need to remove the lower fornt bumper you'd want the film as a two piece.
Zillajnr, I have received the following response from the 3M applicator who trades under the name "Race Wrap" for your information and interested members:-

Thank you for email I will respond to your question on monday I do have an answer, but I will ask 3M for a bit more info regards the edge line for you to post response. However I can answer now that the bumper is in two pieces as it is designed as a removable part we never apply over two separate parts/joins. Thanks

I have taken some pics with a low sun on the film. This film is so thick it can actually cast a shadow. I have chosen angles that really accentuate the line particuarly across the bonnet. Whilst the pics look very noticeable I am very happy with the product providing it does what it is claimed to do. When taking photo's today I actually found another join mark where it goes around the fog lamps. I have taken a picture whilst the light accentuated the line. Even though this line beneath the fog lamps will be noticeable in the pic I have been running a chamois over this spot daily for 8 days now and have only just noticed it myself. Hopefully Rob, bluey, Hymer will assist me tomorrow to load the pics onto this site.

You poor goes in NSW should migrate down south. 4 days in a row down here with bright sunshine, cloudless and not a breath of wind. The most perfect days to be jeeping if I wasn't stuck in the business. Perhaps my turn will be after next week (when the rain returns).

Auscop, I would imagine in your part of the woods (perhaps redefined as desert) dirt roads are just the norm, apart from the suburban streets of the Alice. It would be hard to hit dirt/gravel roads so soon with a brand new car but you are most likely accustomed to it.

Yep... The same mob, that was the dealer who told me no discounting, only approved deals on the older model.

Shannon informed me that the Overland went up $800 and something but with GST & Luxury Sales Tax it took it up into the $1200's. I did not pay much attention because my price was locked in. Guys like SNUKE will be able to post a price to the last half cent.

Oh the downfalls of livin in the outback. It is going to be hard to take such a beauty on the dirt. Kind of like taking the love of your life for a date to Kingscross or Redfern. Luckily the wifer and I love a clean car so no sooner will we finish a camping trip and the car is to the car wash the same day.

Perhaps I could 3M the entire car..
