I flew down to Melbourne today. Left my place it was 9C, got of the plane and it was a nice 2C in MELB.
Just landed back in Sydney (5 mins ago) and while it is wet it is not as cold as what we just left.

Small world, ran into 200SXR on the plane and had a little chat.
We had a bit of fun with turbulence, it was like a Roller Coaster ride at one point on the way down.

Auscop, while you are in Batemans Bay I recommend Mogo Zoo.
We spent 90mins (twice as long as it was supposed to last) in the Meerkat enclosure a couple of years ago. Great time, and you can do similar with the cats.

::: Welcome to Mogo Zoo :::

Wow we were in a hell of a lot longer than supposed to be.
The person taking us turned out to be the daughter of a friend, so lots of bonus time.

Cheers.
I am sure you will get a good hearing from them.
Albion have the size and wil say what they like.

But then again auscop, the road from Nowra to Braidwood is no goat track either. The road, though dirt some/fair amount of the way, is maintained and is scenic. It crosses the upper reaches of the Shoalhaven River and through rain forest. Only problem it that phone reception is poor and nonexistent which means that iPhone navigation won't work. Sat Navs will work fine. Batesman Bay run is good as well if you want to see more civilization.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I may have missed this post but can any of the new MY14 CRD owners report the difference between the MY13 CRD 5-speed and the MY14 8-speed? I found on the MY13 CRD that acceleration was brilliant in 1st gear but died in the pants when 2nd gear kicked in.

How different is it now??

I only drove a diesel in the 5, then a petrol in the 8sp, but the obvious difference was a lack of feathering on gear changes . It's very direct on the 8 speed, but without any of the thump you get on other zf boxes.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

G'day all,
Poor sad man that I am with plenty of time on my hands clock watching & waiting for Big Red to depart Curtis Bay USA, I wondered about the method of transportation from Jeep Central in Detroit to Curtis Bay for O/S shipping.
Amazing trains that is the way.
Spotted this YouTube and counted (told you I was a poor sad man) a car carrying train with 95 car carrying trucks on it ( have a go counting, its fun)

These are the triple deckers they load them on. Not sure if the JGC is a threesome or not.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The Tampa (with my GC on it) is due in Melbourne 7th July. So, how long to get it to the dealer, then get it pre-delivered??? In a perfect world, it will be ready in a week, so I can hook it up to the caravan and head north to sunny Qld. Hope I am not stuck in Melbourne all of July

So, who will venture a guess on my departure date???
