So, who will venture a guess on my departure date???
Depending on how many cars need to be offloaded it could take anywhere from 10 to 14 days.

If I knew the luxury group option costed only $700, which it does, I would have waited. The Nappa leather is nice.

I think we might be confused here, the whole of that panel should come off and so should the passenger side, not just that little cut out. I gave those panels a really good push at the dealers a week back and they are very flexible and I think they will pop out. I won't know until I get a really good look at the lower fascia(pull one off) or be able to go into a dealers work shop.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Have a look at this thread they guy mentions he cut the front facia and fitted the tow hooks on a USA spec model.
Having a look at his pics, looked a lot like the front facia of our ones. Not sure what is behind that could be different.

Just seeing if anyone with there 2014's can try the parking light issue I talked about in the last post.. To try have jeep on Acc but not running then switch lights to parkers, this should turn on inside lights and dim the DRL's but not turn on the HID's.. If this works fine then turn on the car "engine running" and try the same thing. In my car everything stays off until full lights are selected. So no interior illumination when in park light mode and engine running or dimming of DRL's.. Just trying to see if mine the only one? Would appreciate the help!

Possibly IWAJ. That was a very quick look we had along with the pics. It's absolutely dumping rain here (in the Wollondilly) so will have a more thorough look in the next few days when it clears. (Still waiting for the colourbond roof to go on the new carport so currently WK2 is parked under the alfresco area because I'm scared of it hailing. WK will have to cop it if it happens).

Frad - will have a test in the morning and get back to you on that.

Thanks SJandL,

Keep dry and safe, the weather is horrendous. I hope the WK makes it through too

Given its the same dealer, i dont think its true- but fancy telling someone a story that also involves a clear breach of law in this country! Frankly, whoever was told this little story, should get on the phone and ring the dealership, and speak to the CEO or dealer principal and explain to them what they were told and that they really should lift their game for honesty, perhaps even a little training about collusion and price fixing may be in order.

Incidentally, have a little more faith in the ACCC. If you had some evidence on this from 2 separate sources, they'd be all over it. It would be a serious and clear breach that no doubt would get a run on the news, and the ACCC love being in the limelight
Went to another dealer today and took a look at the new GC Limited. With some options the price was $71,500 on road. Asked about doing a deal and told Quote " if I cut the price too much then Chrysler Aust will hold up the order until customers who have paid the higher price will get preference on stock availability." End of Quote.
So there it is, you can get a better discount, but you have to wait longer. I would call that price discrimination.

Is there anyone out there who has purchased a Grand Cherokee with the light coloured interior, if so do you like it?
My wife wants black as she says that there is no flow of colour from the black dash to the light frost colour trim.
Must admit I did like the previous interior colour with the light coloured hood lining.
Any feed Back would be appreciated, might help settle our little domestic argument.

Auscop.

Last time I travelled that road was a bout 3 to 4 years ago or so and they were doing major upgrades on it then (bridges etc). So it may well be much better than when I did it in a humble Falcon Wagon. Car was very dirty when we got back, but no issues re travelability at that time.

Regards
