Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Can I just add that there is no U-connect manual at this stage. We did not get one with delivery and the dealership checked all their other MY14 models and there was only an Operating Information Manual included with the vehicle. Nothing at all at this stage provided for the radio or U-connect system.

Webber or Frad, did you get one?

All I can say at this stage, is it shows the radio station name and the name of the song and artist currently playing. (If that helps - probably not...)

It should be under the Radio options. If you have an DAB option or if there is only AM/FM.

Two options only when Radio is selected. FM and MW.

Good questions being asked about the two front tow hooks on the Jeep. I'm keen on an Overland. When I do a google image search for Overland jeeps, 2/3's of the images show either nice shiny twin tow points or black tow points. I would find it hard to believe that there isn't a straight forward pop out and screw in set up???

I've got an MY14 as you know but would not have a clue how to help you.
I wished you lived in the Riddells Creek area. Have only driven my car once to Benalla and back (400KM) last Wednesday since picking it up the previous Saturday. What is the saying, "not happy Jan". I just can't get an hour, let alone a day to spend time with the car. Tried for 50minutes tonight in the dark to get my phone, radio, climate control etc to use via the voice control and got absolutely nowhere. I know its synced in via bluetooth because I can receive calls but that's it. Usually one small step is left out of the directions in booklets because they assume you know "that step" but unless instructions are in "baby language" I am afraid I am lost. I am going to have to drive back to the dealer for a hands on instruction period when I next get a day off which is still a week away. At least I finally got the CD to play the disc I dropped in it.

With my white "JEEP Grand Cherokee" operating information book which is very thick I got a slim navy blue booklet approx. 9" x 5" x 5mm thick (just to mix up imperial and decimal measurements) called "Uconnect 8.4A/8.4AN Owners Manual Supplement. That's what I tried to read tonight to use the voice commands for Radio, phone, climate etc. but nothing happenned.

Thanks for Checking
Medium Wave = AM
Looks like there is no DAB+, which is not good news for anyone who listens to AM.
I would have thought it would be standard in our market to have this now.

Webber, you really need to learn how to fly one of these first before you attempt to understand the MY14!!!

Well done, thanks for the laugh. Will be forwarding you some pics this evening or tomorrow at latest. First I am about to paste some comment about the 3M film.

Thanks Adrian, It is very tempting as it sounds like a beautiful drive. Will seriously consider it, however SNUKE has now told us about a cool zoo in Batemans Bay. I dare say the decision will not be made until a couple of days before.
