Please keep us posted on sightings.. It keeps our spirits up as the local Jeep HQ are still treating us as mushrooms, no spec, no prices, no dates
Update: Australia 2014 WK2 production has officially launched, so far includes the Laredo, Limited and Overland models.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Thanks Milous, Aussie 2013 Overland had as standard FCW, Front and rear park assist, Adaptive cruise control, rear blind spot and cross path detection. I think if Jeep Australia add the Advance Tech Group to a US spec Overland that will be fairly close. We will just have to wait until you tell us what is built because that way we find out before the dealers over here tell us.Regards

As it currently stands, Advance Tech Group is an option on the 2014 AU Overland models - But, that could change (or not change) when packages are finalized.

Guys, I haven't placed my order yet for the SRT mainly because I am hanging out for the full black leather which there is no confirmation that they will actual do and if so whether they will come to Australia. Milous suspects June. Anyway should I be placing an order anyway. In others words do you think there is any chance that I will miss out cause the allocated numbers will get filled?

Without Advanced Tech Group that would mean this Overland has far less than the 2013 Aussie Overland. I don't know what to read into that Milous. They are either going to use that to get more money because dealers are expecting the 2014 to be about $2k more than the MY13 and then if you have to buy the Advanced Tech Group as an extra option that will throw the price up a lot lot more......or does it mean a Summit is coming down the line?
Thanks Milous, we're are all on the end of our seats down under.

so yes they do currently and will need to going forward

I have been told the current spec of the Overland will be matched i.e. Advanced Tech Group is standard, I also hope QDII will be standard - its not clear on the Jeep Aust site if QDII is currently standard, dealer says it is, web site says optional. !?!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Thanks for the update Milous:

As webber says, this could mean one of two things;

1, We are getting a lower spec Overland (money grab) and no Summit.
2, We are getting both Overland and Summit. To expand the range...

Keep the updates coming Milous.

Robo_70's comments raise a point. QDII must be standard. Also Advanced Tech Group and Elect. LTD slip differential (DSF). If it is not then I presume it can be fitted later in the local chrysler workshop. I say this because if QDII & Adv. Tech Gp etc. was standard on the MY13 then all those orders that are already in the system are by buyers automatically expecting these features: Now if it has to be fitted at the factory then all these cars coming will be the wrong cars. This would be an obvious reason why communication between Chrysler Australia and its dealers would be vital so the dealer can sign up their client with the correct options to be factory fitted. Now, I am a mechanical illiterate. Others on this forum may well say all these added options are easily fitted in the local dealership in which case all the above is possibly crap.
