Hey Sick truck, whilst I like reading about retired people setting off into the sunset in their new jeeps I am finding it more frustrating as many are younger than me....I do hope you are in good health...I would prefer a forum name of "healthy truck", "smiley truck"or something...

I am beginning to get a sense that a lot of us excited school children are turning out to be excited grandparents, and if we don't get our jeeps soon we will chuck a hearty instead of a tantrum.

Q2. Anyone know if the installed CD player can be removed from the centre console, I haven't used the CD player in my 02 Nissan Patrol since I purchased it new, however I do need the storage space that the console would normally provide.

Q5. Have ordered the Limited with the standard Capri Leather Trim in Light Frost Beige but I see on the brochure there is also an option of perforated Nappa Leather, does anyone know the difference apart from the obvious perforations? ( To me in the brochure the Nappa Leather looks a little darker in the Light Frost Beige).

Thanks, look forward to any advice received.
2: The CD bin area is apparently not so easy to change.
I will still be pushing that it is not included in the build of my Ltd.

5: This is Luxury Group II
Includes ventilated seats and axis perforated Nappa leather trim.
The Nappa is so much nicer. Go to the dealer, feel the standard leather on the Ltd, then go touch the Nappa in the Overland. Night and Day.
Easy $700 upgrade, and now you have that as you have dumped the silly protection pack.
As you can see it also includes seat ventilation which is a nice subtle feature in the stupid hot days.
As soon as we touched the Overlands seats we new we had to get the Nappa.

Go back and read form here 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Where we deal with Zamo35s similar dilema.
Should be possible (it is in the US) but there may be a local reason why not.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Decided to go out and take a look at the new huge Bunnings store that opened up in the Alice this week.

Since the Jeep dealership is next door I thought I would pop in and apologise and tell them that I regret not buying off them as I got a price close to $8k (Yes, $8K) cheaper...

BIG mistake, the disdain in his voice was obvious. Then he proceeded to tell me about a guy that bought a Jeep interstate, needed it repaired back here under warranty and it was going to be off the road 4 weeks waiting parts. And I quote "The guy asked me could he have a loaner car while his was off the road. I told him to F**K off cause he didn't buy from me." Charming. I guess my servicing will be interesting.

I suppose you can always refer this back to HQ, but you still don't have any other service options. You could always give him the chance to match your price, then it's up to them. Other option is to plan your holidays around your services and get these completed while going for a surf.

Bit late to let him match the price since the Sydney dealer already has the money. I knew they would never match my price. I will suck it in and when the chances arise will plan the service around a holiday.. minus the surfing.

Thanks Hymer, Guess I better learn how to do it. I would like to post a bit of a blog on the forum during my trip back, letting you all know how Baa Baa does, and my thoughts on her.

Those were both CRDs.

One of the guys in the group had to have a car before June 30, a Petrol Limited.
He should be picking it up today.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

re transmission coolers and towing. When I abandoned my 14 tricked up CRD Limited December 1 2012 order for an off the shelf 13 CRD Limited in May 2013 ( great car!!) so I would get a car within 10 months of order the dealer told me I wouldn't get the transmission temperature sensing , but he was wrong. Magic being able to have the transmission temperature in real time for you. In north Qld in a hot late May towing a 2.2 t boat the temperature stayed at around 80 degrees - same as without the load on the back.
