I would like to thanks snuke for the fantastic idea of group buy. It really save me thousands.
I will post a pic as soon as I can. This bloody rain can't enjoyed much.
Good to hear, it wasn't me that suggested it originally or even created the thread, I just took over running it.

Thanks to snuke for organising the group purchase as with his help I know what a realistic price to pay for the Laredo. I only want the Laredo but also want the sat nav. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Good luck with your new cars when you get them

I can't in all good conscious let someone else be given wrong information from a dealer and suffer the same fate I did. Not complaining though upgrade to Overland feels right.

In answer to your question Andycar, you can't upgrade a Laredo with satnav, but that may change in the future.

BIG mistake, the disdain in his voice was obvious. Then he proceeded to tell me about a guy that bought a Jeep interstate, needed it repaired back here under warranty and it was going to be off the road 4 weeks waiting parts. And I quote "The guy asked me could he have a loaner car while his was off the road. I told him to F**K off cause he didn't buy from me." Charming. I guess my servicing will be interesting.
He would not be required to provide a replacement car whilst repairing your car. That would be a service provided by each individual dealership out of the goodness of providing customer service. Had you bought the car in The Alice gives you no guarantee of a replacement vehicle. He obviously wants you to think that but I do not believe that to be a common practice anyway. But I would like to think he is obliged to service/repair your car. You would think it would be an obligation that he is committed to undertake when he became a Chrysler dealer. People buy cars all over the place and then take it to another Chrysler dealer for service/repairs. I do not like his attitude. We have people coming into our business daily seeking advice even though they made a purchase elsewhere. We may not like it but we certainly do not white ant them. The service is provided hoping it may lead to future business. His attitude is inviting a negative reputation around the Alice. A strange approach.

Hey, finally did it.....a new signature with a gorgeous pic. Now If I could only learn how to use voice control for the radio, heater, phone etc. Another hour today wasted in the instruction book. They just don't give instructions clearly enough.

Completely agree Webber, and to make matters worse even though he only actually said "I told him to F off, (didn't actually say F***) my 12 year old daughter who was standing right next to me knows what "F off" means. Completely inappropriate in front of a kid...

"We do not white ant them" .., LOL. Love it. How about a bit of Mealy bug.

I have Overland 2014. Difference is minimal. Both kids have iPads )

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I shouldn't be too concerned about that Alice Springs dealer. He sounds as if he is more talk than walk.
I am guessing that was a salesman you spoke to rather than someone from service dept.
In any event, dealers make a lot of money from their service depts., and I would suggest that they want all the business they can get. It is an extremely lucrative business. If a dealer said that too me, I would respond with, "Not only do you want to lose a sale, but also the ongoing servicing?"

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Today has been one of my happiest days. Finally sat in my beauty and enjoyed every moment. My wife says she has never seen me so excited. I gave my car a nice wax using genuine Mothers Carnuba wax. I agree with some of the points discussed earlier, don't pay the dealers the large amount of sums for protection, buy the products and do it yourself.

Anyway, I am excited and I wanted to share my beast with the rest of you guys.
