Congrats on the new baby. Can't wait until next Saturday for when I get Baa Baa.

Congratulations. Very pleased for you. However, I better keep my blonde away from that beast of yours or we could end up with some little magpies.

I am guessing that was a salesman you spoke to rather than someone from service dept.
In any event, dealers make a lot of money from their service depts., and I would suggest that they want all the business they can get. It is an extremely lucrative business. If a dealer said that too me, I would respond with, "Not only do you want to lose a sale, but also the ongoing servicing?"
Allypally, sadly it was the dealer principle a.k.a. owner I was talking to. The day my car is out of warranty it will be going somewhere else.

Is everyone here aware that servicing does not need to be done by Jeep. The ACCC has made it clear that as long as the service is made within the manufactures spec, this includes parts, and by a MTA approved mechanic. Tell the dealer in Alice to keep his dusty oil.

Auscop, does this dealer have an email address. I wonder if we all should bombard the email address with statements of how disappointed we are and that we will be letting our friends, relatives, etc who live in the Alice that they should be careful dealing with the dealership?

Webber mate would love to do that but sadly I have to get me car serviced there for at least three years. Probably not in my best Internet at the moment.

I am going to look in to this. Just around the corner from us is a diesel mechanic workshop that has a very good reputation, it is a little expensive but they KNOW what they are doing. Unfortunately I doubt they have access to the diagnostics that a real Jeep dealership would have.

I will still be pushing that it is not included in the build of my Ltd.

5: This is Luxury Group II
Includes ventilated seats and axis perforated Nappa leather trim.
The Nappa is so much nicer. Go to the dealer, feel the standard leather on the Ltd, then go touch the Nappa in the Overland. Night and Day.
Easy $700 upgrade, and now you have that as you have dumped the silly protection pack.
As you can see it also includes seat ventilation which is a nice subtle feature in the stupid hot days.
As soon as we touched the Overlands seats we new we had to get the Nappa.
Great, thanks for that, sounds like its good value, saw it in an Overlander and I was impressed, I will follow up with the dealer on Mon.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi I'm Robbie from Melbourne. I ordered a 2013 GC Diesel in January, changed my order to a 2014 in early April and delivery will be in about 2 weeks. It will be my first Jeep. I have been lurking in the Jeep Garage on this thread for ages as a guest (might be a little addicted) & thought it was time I joined in the conversation as I have been enjoying it so much
