This is standard on the Overland, nothing needs to be added or changed. It is just the dial that you choose Sport/Mud/Sand/Snow/Rock.
I would agree with the dealer about the offroad pack. You can order 18" with real offroad rubber and rims from tirerack.com to suite the JGC and also get all the bashplates from the USA for a lot less than local. This is all this option is, wheels and plates.

Do you know if the USA models have the CD installed?
Cheers.
I suspect there is more to it than a simple change, probably to do both the electrics and an Aus spec.
In the US it is an option on all cars, here only the Laredo comes without it.
But the Laredo does not get the rear USB & AC controls either and I think this may be the problem.
Emailing Aus HQ is pointless, the cars have been tested as is.

Not sure if I got a good deal or not but we are happy with what we paid and the service we got and that's what matters. I can defiantly say CJD staff at Nepean motor group were very good to us, especially our sales person Louis Lahoud. No one there even after sales extras tried to tell us what we did or didn't want, or try and push us into anything, and if they didn't know something the were straight up front with we "don't know yet" and tried to find out the correct answer instead of lying to us (which means a lot to me).

Now I have to try and decided what extended warranty we want, the jeep one or the dealer one.
I'm giving that dealer the first offer in supplying my new Jeep Overland when I have definitely made up my mind.....would it be rude to ask what you paid ?

I believe the selec-speed (not selec-terrain) is a hill ascent control feature where you control the speed of the car using the paddle shifters. It's similar to hill descent and works in the same way but going up hills. This would be particularly useful when crawling up rocky terrain.

If you check out the new GC brochure (as posted in this thread), it's listed as on option under the ORAII pack.

Did I read and understand that right. 2k for a towbar on the Overland?

That's double what we have paid for the towbar on our Overland - ($950). Not fitted yet though - the wiring is different to the MY13 so are awaiting a phonecall from dealer to say that they have received everything and are ready to fit.

2k though? Is that right? Surely they are having a lend of you.

wow, that's crazy.
$1100-$1200 is normal.
I got a quote from a 4WD place and they said $999 for a Hayman Reese if it is the same as MY13.
The US Mopar site says it is the same.
