We got two coffee mugs and a beer cooler thingee which is just disgusting. I will not have these heinous things in this house. Seriously... what are these dealerships thinking?

However, on page 10 (or thereabouts) of the 2013 Jeep GC brochure (with all it's phoofyness and fab photos (let's pay the photographers large amounts of money to photograph this vehicle in obscure positions and lighting) is a brilliant leather bag.

Probably an afterthought on behalf of the marketing team but give me that bag and I would be happy.

Picked it up from Repco. I also bought a cordless wax attack applicator. Makes the whole experience a breeze.

Thanks for the info, it's a shame it doesn't, my old 02 Patrol does, not only fills very quick but the fuel quality is usually better for the Trucks... That's a fact from a Truckie who knows the difference. Guess just have to now queue with the others.

I know I can add the bash plates and 18" wheels after delivery but does anyone know (Milous?) whether the select-speed control can be added later? I would imagine that maybe the functionality would be there but just no button to activate it.

I remember having a Holden VS Commodore years ago that came without cruise control from the factory. I purchased an indicator stalk that had the cruise control buttons, swapped the indicator stalks, added a couple of extra wires into the PCM or BCM and all of a sudden I had factory cruise control functioning...

It's no deal breaker if it can't be added, I was just curious as to whether it would be as simple as adding the button to activate it.
Don't know about adding the select-speed control later, but if you don't get ORll you'll miss out on Quadra Drive ll which is the Electronic Limited Slip. Not be be confused with Quadra Trac ll which is standard on all GC.

Sounds like there's quite a few variances in costs for getting towbars fitted. The GC quote we have lists the genuine towbar at $770 ex GST.

I will be! Our overland will most certainly be hitting the rough stuff... With the first gear ratio being so low it probably won't be much of an issue with throttle control anyhow.

Quadra drive II is standard on Overland. Offroad II only adds skid plates and changes tires to 18"

Must have been an old truckie who had inhaled to many fumes. Low sulphur diesel has been federal requirement since 1/01/2009 where it was reduced down to less than 10ppm. They used to sell different diesels prior to that, but they would have to get it from the same tanks as was offered to the public as well. see link below.

Yeah the QDII was one thing that I definitely want, fortunately it comes standard on the Overland CRD (and V8.. not on V6 petrol). So on the Overland CRD the ORAII pack adds 18" alloys, bash plates and selec-speed control.

Now that I spend a day with my new Ltd CRD, I have a few questions to throw out there. Maybe Milous can help. Apologies if some of the topics have come up earlier but I have some questions regarding the, uconnect. To me it seems like a lot of the comfort features on the uconnect have been dropped in Australia. Here are my questions:

1. Is it possible to make the horn beep when you press the lock button on the key fob?
2. Is it possible to make the blinkers flash on unlock and lock only instead of every time I touch the door handle?
3. Is it possible to adjust the sensitivity on auto lights on/off. Mine seem to turn on when clouds come during the day (not to impressed)
4. I was really looking forward to wifi capability. This unit doesn't seen to have wifi. Are uconnect firmware upgrades possible?

By the way, I am a tech head so I know my way around systems. It is clear my uconnect doesn't support the above but I am curious to hear if I am alone in this hence I might need to follow up with Jeep.

Fuel Quality in Australia - Diesel fuel quality standard
Thanks for that, I will pass the info on to my truckie mate and yes he is old at 72 but he just keeps on trucking. Bert's current big rig has clocked over 2 million km's on trips Bris to Melb and back.
Just a little more Info: Bert believes that our current diesel is lacking good lubrication qualities for the injectors, he recommended that we use some diesel upper cylinder lube in every tank of fuel. Best to buy it from the specialist diesel suppliers as it is cheaper in bulk.

Are you sure about this? I thought I read somewhere that the Quadra drive was an extra for the overland. I have done so much reading that I am a bit confused! Milous, are you able to confirm please?
