its a possibility Milous however, it is currently standard fitment on AU Overland models. and the fact that you saw them all with ATG, and that the dealers here have said specs will be matched, leads me to believe ( and hope) it will still come standard.

Now the jury is still out QDII.. Did the Hemi builds you saw have QDII - Milous ??

Also - why aren't CRDs in these batches? seems crazy as thats the engine we all want/buy here.. there are any number of V6 & V8 petrols going cheap here up to $10K disc out on a hemi Overland, they cant sell them like the CRD.. one would think Jeep Aust would know their market and order accordingly.

( I am hoping there are no delays due to some tuning issue mentioned in other thread- seems odd as the Press test drove CRDs in Austin TX)

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Robo,Webber and/or Milous, this will be my first Jeep GC. Refresher, ordered November 2013 MY14 LAREDO with CRD, Quadralift, sunroof, tow pack, leather etc.
In other words a Base Laredo with a few extras.
Based upon some statements in the main JG thread that the base Laredo is intended for fleet sales etc, could any of you knowledgeable blokes advise me what the JGC MY12/MY13 LAREDO is that was exported and sold in Australia?
Because it had a few extras over the base US LAREDO, is the OZ Export model a LAREDO X ??
Wonder what the Fiat/Chrysler/Dodge/Ram/Jeep conglomerate whoever they are this week will include in the OZ spec LAREDO??
Even though the Dealer has "advised" me that the Order has gone in, they still havent advised me what other options Ive got!!

And from the VIBE of this thread neither has any other OZ dealer told their customers whats in the OZ package for the various models either!!
Got a perfectly good caravan sitting in the Driveway and I cant take it anywhere.

Hang on!! A thought! Maybe if I put a towbar on the Missus's VW Golf, then I CAN getaway!! Beauty m8. Will put that to the Missus today!!
And after I get out of hospital maybe I can come up with another plan.

Hmmmmm, maybe if I go to Jeep Aust, maybe they can advise me

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Just had a call from our dealer (not bad follow-up since we only put the order in 2 days ago) and he said that they had had acknowledgement from AU HQ for the order and had been advised to expect an E number early third quarter. 3rd quarter of course runs April-June - hopefully earlier than later. Still hoping for delivery June/July.

Well it appears on reading the comments above from you and Robo that these cars would comply with the Overland orders that are in the system in that they have all the MY13 features which means this first batch could well be for Australian committed orders ready for June/July delivery. It could also mean that a more base Overland model may be made for the Australian market to allow for the Summit with the Adaptive headlights etc. What we are seeing on this line though appears to satisfy orders in the system. What they later make and market could possibly include a lower spec Overland with the Summit. However, Milous in the past has raised the point on the costs to set up various models. It would be a very expensive excercise, one would think, to set up a system that makes two Overland Models (and possibly a Summit).
Logic tells me this Overland Milous is seeing will be our top line model but one never ceases to be amazed.

Where in the country are you SJandL ?

Your dealer must have family connections to Jeep Aust to get that information.

Good luck to you anyway. CRD or Petrol?

Just clarify your "early third quarter" statement, wouldnt that mean June/July/August E number? Am I misunderstanding?

Sorry if I am, still early in the morning for me at 9.55am Melbourne.

Hey, Hymer, you flatter me. You're asking me Tech info. I'm still to find out where to put the petrol and oil. That's why we have the Guru Milous and Aussie Robo to assist.

Bluey
SW Sydney Bluey - down near Picton.

I've assumed US fiscal dates (and perhaps I should have clarifed this with the dealer). Their financial year begins Oct 1 placing the 3rd April-June.

CRD Overland with the off road adventure pack.

One of the features which the MY13 Overland has which seems not to be included in the MY14 Advanced Technology package is the front park sensors so the Overlands in transit may be a slight de-spec as compared to the MY13.

I'm still thinking that the Summit will hit our shores at some stage - maybe wishful thinking!

Current Laredo AU specs are still on the local site - Compare Models - Grand Cherokee

also list the available options on the "packages button"

Bluey, sounds like you spec'ed the thing to within an inch of an Overland, how much cheaper is it Vs buying Overland ?

Yes, definitely, all with QDII.

RHD Launch is just getting started. Don't know of any issues that would hold back the CRD - unless they are timing it with the U.S. production start (late April).

All AU spec 2014 Overlands will have front/rear ParkSense as Standard.

I'll look into this, as in the U.S. you cannot get any model Laredo with leather or Quadra-Lift.
