Thanks for that Snuke. I thought I saved that brochure from you last time, but it wasn't there when I looked. There is so much information on this thread that I would like to find but with nearly 400 pages...
All my focus has been on the Laredo so, we set out to test drive one and bought an Overland! We will be using it to tow our New Age caravan around Australia for 6 months next year; starting to get excited now!
We'll need to get 18" wheels and off road tyres for the trip (didn't want to order a car. Expected delivery is end of July). Hopefully when the time comes I can rely on information here to get what we need (I am keeping my eye on the tyre pressure monitor issue)
Sorry to say Webber, Shannon didn't do us any favours. On the way home we dropped in to Caroline Springs. Adam gave us a drive away price straight up that ran rings around Shannon. We negotiated some extras and signed up (argh! Forgot the mud flaps though!! After all my reading. What cars, especially 4wd come without mudflaps?). Maybe if Adam picks up some prospective customers because of my post he might throw them in?
My husband has always been a toyota man and I loved my 98 Prado, however, when it comes to towing, the Jeep is a no brainer. The Prado interior was such a disappointment, and to the member who was considering the Altitude...lots for sale on carsales...
My only concern is supply of parts if anything happens. I guess if we have a problem I can hassle Jeep via this forum ( I know you are reading this Jeep Aus! Rest assured, if we are happy we will also use this, and other forums).
A huge thanks to everyone who contributes to this forum: it is informative and entertaining! Without it, I would not have bought a Jeep because the only other source of information is Jeep Australia. I can't fathom their facebook page and I signed up for updates via their website but haven't heard a peep. They are a worry, aren't they?
