WK2's to date have all been fully metric as far as tapped threads available and all bolts and nuts - can't see that will change.

That's not the only mistake.

They seem to have the specs for the Laredo and Limited swapped in the Safety & Security Section.

They also say that front and rear parking sensors are standard on all models. Is this correct as I thought they weren't on the Laredo. They certainly weren't on any Laredos I have seen.

They also say the reversing camera on the Laredo doesn't have the dynamic grid lines whereas one dealer was telling me they do.

I'm still not clear about the weights either. The Buyer's Guide distributed on this forum recently showed the "Tare Weight" as 2267kg for the Laredo. The specs on the web site show the "Kerb Weight" as 2267kg. They don't define the kerb weight but refer to ADR 81/02 which uses "Unladen Weight". So I'm unsure whether or not fuel etc is included.

The US web site shows the "Base Curb Weight" for the Laredo as 4545lbs ie 2066kg and I thought they included full fuel in that. Why the 200kg weight gain for Australia?

Graham

Hi auscorp. I'm not sure if your question has been answered re tow pack on overland crd? I'm catching up on backlog of posts here. I've got an Overland crd 2014 which I picked up last Friday. No tow pack. I ordered it with tow pack. I was told the 2014 cable harness is different to 2013 and they were still waiting for these to come into the country. I'm awaiting a call to take my car back to city jeep in Melbourne to have it all fitted.

Parking sensors not included on laredo. Dealer fitted may or may not interface with the computer

Weight - was the "base" laredo 2wd or 4 wd? The us one is also a little more povo than ours.

Ah well, auscop can just swing past from Alice to get the wiring harness fitted when he takes it in for its 1500km service

Yep, it was kind of answered. I will have to wait until I get back to Alice, dealer says that they should have them here in Sydney ready to fit right around when I get back home..

Let us know if you have time for a drink on the weekend. Not far from where you will be.
