Kevin,

You will probably find that your car will ship on the 17th July, and arrive in Fremantle on 23rd Aug.

Love the quirky inaccuracies on the Jeep website...

- Quadra-trac II is standard on Overland but not available on 3.6L V6
- Overland in maximum steel gets front chrome tow hooks
- The pic that shows the HID headlights on a non SRT model shows what appears to be adaptive headlight beams on the road
- Pricing for the new model links to the old model and pricing

And one more for the attentive (a correction rather than inaccuracy)... They have photoshopped the correct headlights on the limited on the wooden deck. The brochure shows the non-HID headlights.

You would think with all the time that these guys have had to get this stuff on their website they would have had it 100% spot on...

Anyhow I've taken the plunge... White CRD Overland coming my way next month.

I ordered a limited with no factory options in white on Monday from Alex at Waittara suttons , ie paid my deposit over the phone, It was either Wednesday or Thursday that Alex phoned me telling me he had an E number , by Friday when I went in to sign contracts, the E number had morphed into the car is either on dock or close to and will be delivered by end of month.

So assigning took all of 48 hours, however this is without any options or any choices that are less common , so white with black interior ( would have taken red as well, but pretty much the order has to go in for a customer with white as the spec before you can find out if one is available)

Hi there, ordered a LTD CRD with Luxury pack on 20/6 & paid deposit. Dealer was chasing allocation, with CJ AU, and now doing the ring around for dealer swap. Have been quoted absolute latest delivery date of 30 OCT. Been told good things come to those who wait, and wait, and wait......

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Thanks guys, I have ordered a Limited diesel with LuxII, ORAII and QL in Billet so I guess it is a little more difficult to come by perhaps. Dealer has till end of Sept to deliver the vehicle so I guess patience is name of the game.

Picked up mine Thursday arvo and have now nearly 1500kms on it. Fortunately and touch wood trim it stays this way but mine it's fault free. Voice commands, lights and what niggles some have experienced have not been an issue so there is hope for everyone waiting its not a common fault.

Average fuel economy I'm pulling is 7.7 on the highway and 8.2 in town, and that's punching it not babying, so if these figures maintain I will be very happy. Got about 1000 on the first tank of diesel and at the moment I'm showing 420 on the trip since fill and 760 dte

Would be curious to know other people's averages so far

TOW / RECOVERY HOOK

I was at Anaconda today an saw this tow hook on the shelf it costs $25 and rated to 4500 kg. I am sure it would not be too difficult to fabricate the bracket to suit. If you can't then a metal fabrication company could as long as you supply a template ( made out of cardboard or timber). Then if you want it to look good simply have it chrome or zinc plated. Save heaps on original.
What do you think?
