If you can't then a metal fabrication company could as long as you supply a template ( made out of cardboard or timber). Then if you want it to look good simply have it chrome or zinc plated. Save heaps on original.
What do you think?
The bracket would need to be rated as well!, or you might have some fun with your insurance company if something goes wrong!.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Not sure where you are in Qld but these guys have done some of my previous cars. Great job, excellent price. They'll come to the vehicle.

Went for a drive from Gold Coast to Brisbane in CRD Overland. 71K's on freeway travelled at 110 and 100 K/hr and achieved 6.4 l/100k. Pretty I think.

Will be driving to Townsville next week so will see what sort of fuel consumption I get on that trip.

I am not sure if it is worth it but I think it is great. It makes the car as good or better than others costing $100 to 150k.
We wil be towing and I think it will help. There is a caravan site that did a test on an MY 12 CRD.

You worry to much, did heaps of stuff like that in the Range Rover Club, never a problem. Most metal fabricators know their job, all you would need to know is how to fit it to the right location. Anyhow I just thought I would put it out there for comment.

Looks like there will be lots of sheep around - I'm calling my White CRD 'Shaun' after Shaun the Sheep. I've also called my van 'Shaun', this way it won't get awkward if i get their names wrong. Hope it doesn't get weird on camping weekends away!!!!
