!
if you see the very first MY14 clip on YouTube, they are driving through San Fransisco in a Ltd, it turns the indicator on and out go the DRLs.
It freaked a lot of people out thinking there was a fault with the car in the ad.
So you are far from alone in being concerned about this at first.

Hey Snuke, I pick my Laredo up tomorrow and have been intrigued by your desire "I just want it for the shorter headlamps".
Gee, I hope my Laredo has them, can't wait to try them out!

There is a point rapidly achieved where extra brightness yields washout and loss of depth. Unless you are after super wide flood by aiming outwards
You need to see what proper driving lights can do and I do mean proper driving lights. Due to my job I drive a fair few rental cars, HID or not I have not came across any cars with lights that are anywhere near the performance of proper driving lights.

I do a bit of night driving, and if I have to travel long distances I prefer to drive at night than during the day. For example back in the days I did the length of Fraser Island in the middle of the night and one will never have enough light in those situations. Even up and down the Pacific Hwy at night you will be surprised how much more relaxed it is with some extra vision.

Also it does not help when I have fetish with lights

It is a quote from some dipshit "journo" when the car was announced in Detroit.

Obviously the journo has no idea!
Bags the exterior styling of the SRT but includes a photo of a different model ( Limited maybe)

I wonder sometimes as to the criteria for becoming a motoring journalist
Mostly i think it must be a total lack of any idea of motoring issues

Mmc - We do not have SSC on our Overland CRD with ORAII. We only have Hill Descent. On the brochure that the dealers have, it states that SSC is only available on the 5.7 Hemi with ORAII.

Quote:
Off-Road Adventure Group II Includes skid plates for fuel tank, transfer case, front suspension and underbody; Quadra-Drive® II, Selec-SpeedTM Control (if 5.7L V8 equipped); requires 5.7L V8 or 3.0L V6 Diesel. (265/60R18 BSW All-season tyres and 18-inch Polished Aluminum Wheels
replaces the 20-inch wheels and tyres on Limited and Overland)
We would really like to know why this is the case - why it doesn't come with the CRD with ORAII. It's not a dealbreaker for us, but we would like to know anyway.

It's a well known fact that Motoring Journo's are obtained from persons who failed the Car Salesmen 101 course.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The Carmen is unloading at Port Kembla today due in Melbourne on Thursday with the Overland CRD I ordered back in November last year. However it is now not mine. After 8 months waiting the dealer still wanted nearly $3000 price increase. Told him either honour the deal and complete the contract as agreed or I would cancel, within 5 minutes of sending email his assistant was on phone wanting my bank account details to refund the deposit. This was the only thing in the whole 8 month saga of trying to purchase a vehicle he has done without lies, stuff up or delay.
So back to the end of the queue with another dealer estimate November delivery. Just couldn't come at letting him rip me off so blatantly.

I would firstly call Jeep Customer Assist, and also post on their Facebook site. Name the dealer.
