I am all for engine braking but how about braking it more higher gear. Luckily in Alice we don't have too many hills.

Question,

I have noticed that the light in the "side door thingee's" (as mentioned in the previous quote above) isn't working on my drivers door but works on the others.
Can anyone confirm that this is the same in their car?
thanks in advance for any help given.

What is your engine?
The 3.6 has a different 8sp to the CRD & V8.

The 3.6 is made under license in the US.
The CRD & V8 are made in Germany.

Not sure if that means anything.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Sorry everyone, I give up trying to post pics of Ambient Lighting. Have to go to bed early tonight as our son flies in to Tullarmarine at 3.00am from Korea and we have to pick him up in the Jeep. At least he will know how to do it.
Anyway, now have all mudflaps on, tow bar etc and Ambient Lighting....no regrets, I love it. Name your colour....purple, red, blue, orange, mauve, pink, green etc. Looks better than I expected. Can be bright or muted. Will try and get a pic or two up tomorrow.
UCONNECT.....It took them all day to find out the problem. They have to completely replace it. Have to wait until ordered in and then only a 20 minute job to swap it over. They turned themselves inside out trying to establish what was wrong. Anyway, they are not repairing, going to replace it. Most functions work except most VR things. I can receive phone calls though. Whatever the problem is though it also affects some of the heating adjustments. Will come back about this.
Like other owners though, what a car. The best car I've ever had.

I've got the crd. I did see they are made in different places, wonder if they would attract similar characteristics still or not?

Very interesting read. Is anyone game to give it a go? I'm wondering if I should ask the dealership to do a full reset before I take delivery.

He was promptly told where he could put his sale.

Coincidence?????

I happy with deal from Alex and don't mind the wait too much.

Enough bitchin on the dealers I'm moving on, although I will be relating my tale of woe to whoever wants to listen in the future that will be my way of Karma for the dealer
Max2007, go and see bayside jeep, Frankston, I did a deal with them less than 4 weeks ago and picked up my car yesterday. I waited for 4 weeks thinking I would get a phone call about a price increase, it never came. I got a ripper deal and the car was delivered early.
