Just a gentle reminder, do you realise that you are paying luxury tax on the extras. I am adding my extras on after I take delivery.

YES. You can manually open (lift) and close (drop) the tailgate.

Cheers

Do you know how I do this, tried this arvo and it just automatically did it when I pulled the handle and had to force it to stop before it hit the roller door/roof

This is where the flipper glass would be good.

Appreciate the help, my log books aren't in the car before anyone suggests I read them

Still can not understand why they dropped the flipper glass. Ridiculous.

You didn't pull it hard enough when you opened it . I you pull hard the motor disengages and becomes manual.

OTOH, have you thought of reversing in? Past the door, you gain 300mm straight away.

Thanks. I will have a play tomorrow when it's out of the garage.

As for reversing in, I wouldn't be able to open to trunk at all... She's filled to capacity with this bad boy!

Reversed in once before in the Amarok .. Sent the tow bar through the wall lol

Oh, I saw the Luxury tax on the purchase order $2649. But I didn't think of that. There was no price for extras either.purchase.png
It's a novated lease through work. I'm in the 45 odd cents in the dollar bracket for tax purposes. Most of the costs including maintenance are pre tax dollars. I'm unsure how the maths work out exactly.
The dealer has my vehicle, just need the fleet company to get to work.

Thanks

I am no expert but apparrently one of the gains from dropping the flipper glass was that they did not need to have as much blackening on the glass to hide the flipper glass struts.....and I must say, I think that is correct because it does look a lot more open now with greater visibililty. I remember the earlier model looking very closed in.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

SNUKE, THANKS FOR THAT. When I get some good pics I will try it. I am trying to now take the flash off my camera to photograph the ambient lighting. At the moment it looks like ghosts in my car with a lot of distortions. Don't give up on me guys. I AM GOING TO GET THIS RIGHT.
