Oh my goodness Webber. That is very... reddy/orange.

I think I prefer the purple colour best - or maybe the blue - or maybe just what I've got.

Good evening all. After a full day out and about, I have to say we are very impressed with our new Overland. It is very comfortable and today drove through many different conditions. Highway, back roads, National Park tracks and a bit of mud and water to warrant a clean on our return. The adaptive cruise control is fantastic and it didn't take long to trust it and let it do its stuff. Didn't need any heavy 4WD support and tend to use the lift to get in and out of our driveway so the mud flaps don't drag.

We have noticed on any slow hill descent that the car does seem to over rev and hold a gear higher than I would like. Yes we can manually change the gear, but I do feel this could be managed by the car a little better. We have also noticed the grinding sound from the front that has been mentioned by a few after braking after the adaptive control has been engaged. Not sure if this is the system getting used to our driving and making adjustments on the fly.

Heavy driving around the tracks had a fuel economy around 15 km/l and when on the highway, a comfortable 6-8 km/l was the average. The dealership decided to throw in some roof racks which was appreciated, but they create interference with the wind and whistle. I think I'll adjust their position or take them off when not on holidays.

After 10 new cars in 25 years, this one is the best we've ever had. I think it will be a long term vehicle and now we prepare for the camper trailer.

Butts_Oz so glad you love your ride. Tomorrow is our last day of our trip and Baa Baaa can have a well earned rest. Currently have 2800kms on it. Will be 3500 by the time we are home. Have to agree with you best car I have ever owned.

Thanks SandDune - unfortunately I still get "no records found"! (The VIN goes into the "cargo ID" field right?). Yours did get into Curtis bay a week before mine, so maybe there just isn't enough room! I'm hoping for the Tamerlane, which gets into Port Kembla a few days before my expected delivery date, or the Tirranna which get in a few days later.

Re: 2014 SRT Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi, I'm new here and have enjoyed reading through many parts of this thread. I've had two GC's and two Wranglers. Looking at a 2014 GC.

Does anyone have info on when the 2014 SRT GC arrives here in Oz?

Hi sharpwrax, Welcome to this forum.
Yes the 2014 SRT's are on their way! At least four(4) have been built for our forum members and are currently at different stages of being shipped to Aus.

Hey Sanddune,
Looks like our babies are travelling partners!
One Deep Cherry red SRT about to head downunder!
Dealer originally gave me an early September delivery.
Might get her a week or two early!

Thanks. So it will be a while until one pops up at a dealer for sale. What's the order wait period?

Hi Sharpwrax,
A couple of 14 SRT's have already made it to their new owners.
Mine is about to get loaded in Baltimore and arrives in Melbourne mid August.
Fingers crossed I will be driving it by early September

Sharpwrax,
I ordered mine through a leasing company in mid June.
I was lucky as one of the dealers I could pick from already had an SRT in my spec pre-ordered.
The car was built on the 21st June, and will arrive nearly two months later.
I paid around $85k with the optional upgraded audio, pano room and few other goodies
