I paid around $85k with the optional upgraded audio, pano room and few other goodies
Great thanks for info. What deposit did you have to pay to secure order? Or is this confidential?

Oh yes, the wait.....that is the deal maker / breaker...I actually just received my side steps only yesterday. Posted a pic on a previous post.

They are here already, in very limited numbers.

Depends on your specification and what is already on order and allocated.
It may be possible to get one quickly, if it had to be a fresh build then about 4 months.

Depends on the dealer, but $1000 should be fine for a deposit.

Where abouts are you in Aus, we can recommend a few dealers based on your location.

Thanks for all the detail. I'm in Albany WA. One local dealer but several in Perth.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

It may be worth visiting them to see if there are any on order but not allocated to anyone that is acceptable colour and options.

If not then for a fresh order hopefully you may see it before xmas.

Definitely visit your friendly, helpful dealer and discuss your needs.
As many of the forward orders are now being filled, dealers should see SRT stock in the near future.
They can speak to Chrysler and set you up with an incoming stock order.
I was told through several dealers if I ordered in June I would see mine in November.
My dealer spoke to CJA and they had one on stock order.
Now I'll be driving my new car two months earlier

Stuff the SRT's. The Tarago is on the way home with my baby Laredo CRD.

9 long months since I ordered her/him and she/he will be a natural delivery at Appleton Docks on 13th August (2013 I hope).

She/he definitely will not be a Prem Baby or need a zipper.

Left Galveston TEXAS, yesterday and headed for Panama (be there in 4 days time.)

Then the long trip across the big blue waters with Big Red.

You can see I'm obsessed but nothing better to do with my time except grow old and wait for the delivery. Cigars all round next month!!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi guys have been following this thread for a while as I was actually wanting a Jeep to replace my Prado Kakadu. It has been a wealth of knowledge re car specs and dealers so thank you all for your insights.

My husband has now decided he is going to be the one to buy the Jeep Grand Cherokee first as his work car is up for renewal great so back to drawing board for me.

He went to our local dealership in Castle Hill but came back quite negative. A feeling of lack of interest and poor trade, he felt they had a real take it or leave it attitude. I sent him off to see Alex at Waitara as his name had cropped up a few times on this site as being helpful especially when there was little information available officially.

Well he headed there 9:30am this morning and all signed up due to take delivery of CRD limited with luxury package by end of Aug. At least I still get to drive it haha.

Alex put together a great package far surpassing Castle Hill in price and especially trade making for a very happy husband. Anybody looking to buy a new Jeep definitely shoud head up to Suttons Waitara ask for Alex.

So a big thank you to all fellow forum members for sharing your experiences and thank you Alex.

Yeah Castle Hill is a huge mess, not much positive is ever coming out of there.
Alex at Waitara and Michael at Penrith are two great people to deal with in Sydney.

Hang on Tracey - so you're stuck with the Prado whilst he swans around in the new GC. What?

Wrong, wrong, wrong. He's a bit cheeky isn't he?

What are you going to get then? Two JGC's.

I have no idea now - I felt sorry for him he couldn't find anything he really wanted going from an Audi sedan and wanted a bigger car - at least I can still drive it if he lets me near it.

I was going for the white overland diesel so we could still end up a 2 jeep family - hard to go pass for value and finishes inside

Thanks for the info, would like to see a couple of photos.
