When I was in at Werribee and questioned why he was being underquoted when he had earlier given such good deals he put it down to lack of stock. He was only allowed to obtain 1 only Overland per month...rediculous. He is hoping to soon be in a position to sharpen his pencil with Limiteds and Laredo's. Not good, and it looks like, from reports on this forum, that the waiting time could be starting to stretch out too.

I've been using Zaino's for the last few years. Available in Aus. Great look and has a great leather smell. (Probably from the minks they have to squeeze into the bottle!!)

In my MY12, you can change the reading in the EVIC.
Changing from English to Metric swaps the tyre pressure from BAR to PSI, the temp from Celcius to Fahrenheit and the distances from miles to kilometres etc. It may be in there somewhere on the MY14 too..

Hi Colozzie, then I hope you enjoy this Thursday when you pick up your ride.

Can change the temp and mileage between the two but not the tires but not the tires... Which is slightly annoying but realistically who looks at the tire pressure at all until the tpms light comes on (assuming the jeep has one of those)

I didn't even think the 14 had those features as went the first couple of days without it and when my car went for the 1000km service and come back with it!

2.6 is where your tyres have to be on a limited @ 20" .. Though this is coming from the same people who didn't set my evic up properly in pre delivery, sent my car out with a bad wheel alignment, told me the wheel alignment is the reason the shocks are thudding in the rear and that the 14' takes different mats, mud flaps and cargo mats to the predecessor ... So who knows

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

MY2014 Overland Has Fallen!

So haven't taken back to dealer yet as waiting to see when they have time for it.. However my list of issues some don't matter some do:

8.5" Screen - was 100% until Monday now is DEAD! Nothing - no output at all..
Air-con - hot and cold thing not sync
Parker Lights - only work when car is off or fog lights are on

The only one that matters is the 8.5" but a little miffed as to why its now dead.. Will try the battery and see, as I'm hoping they don't have to pull the dash apart to change it out.

Still Love It - has 1700km's on her now.. Sorry to notice alot of people saying massive wait times to get them SUCKS!! Although this does make me wonder how long a 8.5" screen would take to get if its stuffed

I know you have written a bit about it in the past, but in what situations are you using the parking lights?

I only ask as it mystifies me when I see cars driving along with their parking lights on, rather than their headlights.

Snuke this is going to sound VERY STUPID!!

However I love the look of the DRL's but when it gets a little dark I like to have the dash lights in the car on.. So I put the parker lights on the car so it looks the part from outside & I can see everything inside..

Thats why I've said its of little importance... However in the same regard its a 70K Jeep so would be nice to know the parkers work as they should.

This is a small windows into the mind of an IT guy!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The screen can be changed fairly easy. Probably take them 1 hour to swap it out. Only the trim around the facia and console needs to be removed.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Has anyone actually read the Handbook in regard to the functionality of the parking lights to see if this really is a fault.
I know that in Europe, you can drive around with just parking lights, and not headlights in built up areas. However, there may be different requirements in the USA, and the lights are therefore configured to switch off when headlights are active. It could be to stop that dreaded smoking of the reflector as in the MY11-MY13's.

I asked my dealer and this is normal and how its meant to be. Same as the front fog lights turning off when your brights go on
