I mentioned my friend so many pages back in this thread, that bought a brand new MB a few months ago. Guess where that MB is now? Not at home with her that's for sure - she's still in the dealership's loan car.
They still don't know what's wrong with it. She cracked it at the dealership after it had to be towed 4 times in 8 weeks. As you would of course.
Jeep has a bad rep in Australia for the reliability of its older models. I can tell you we've had no issues with our '07 JGC other than a split radiator hose a few months back and a whole $74 out of pocket for replacement coolant.
Our middle daughter has (shock, horror) a VW Golf TDI. No issues with that vehicle either despite the Fairfax campaign against the manufacturer.

I can only speak for the MY14 JGC Overland but it's a beautiful car; not perfect obviously as we have seen via various threads on this site, but that's what warranties are for.
