Better check under the hood, might be a 6.4 V8 slotted in there by mistake.

Launch control is only for SRT's.

Please provide a pic.

EDIT: press it and see what the EVIC says.

LOL, given I traded my 4.8l X5 in cause she drank too much juice for the budget, IF this dream came true and I got my V8 back by accident I would have to put up with the ministry of finance baggin the fuel economy of the new jeep being worse than the X5 when I sold the jeep on fuel consumption

Really? I was under the impression beyond the 3 days cooling off period, the agreement is binding.

So - I found, you have to first check two boxes on the Uconnect system.

1: Settings - Doors and Locks - Personal settings linked to Key Fob. CHECK

2: Settings - Engine Off Option - Easy Exit Option. CHECK

No surprises with checking #1 but it wasn't until I checked #2 that it actually worked.

After these two options checked, then I took Key Fob #1 and started the car. Pressed memory setting 1 on the door panel (my setting), it reconfigured the steering column and seat and then I pressed the Lock option on the key fob. A few clicks and lights flashed and it was set.

Then shut down car, went inside and got Key Fob #2 (Sam's key) and started the car. Pressed memory setting 2 on the door panel (his setting), it reconfigured the steering colum and seat and I pressed the Lock option on his key fob.
Same clicks and lights flash and it was set.

Tested between the two fobs. It works each time.

It did not work however prior to me setting the Easy Exit Option check box.

Anyway, give it a go - it does work.

Oh - the Easy Exit option, works in the same way as our '07 JGC. When the engine is turned off, it adjusts the steering column and also the drivers seat backwards to give you more room to exit (just in case you are wondering what that is).
Thanks J, will be on to this tomorrow.. Chances are today by the time you read it,

Regards

Austin

Hi Allypally, this is something along the line of what I was once advised, but didn't quite 'gel', in particular about the part of being secretive - especially if you see home many are being advertised on the net...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Another observation (FWIW); on Carsales website, all MY2014 GC advertised in VIC are listed as POA, however, NSW,QLD, WA have dealers who list pricing. Is this because VIC dealers have less supply / greater demand than anywhere else?

Your car was made on a friday afternoon .. after a 6 pack by the sound lol

It should have your 4x4 low button there (which is what is programmed by what you said in the evic)

Now go look for other fun features like a harmon kardon 21 speaker sound system and GPS they threw in for you too lol

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hello to you all, have been following your forum with interest for some time and thanks to all for the info, finally decided on ordering a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland in diesel with a specific colour and interior. Went through web and found Stratton's and based on reviews, got them to come back with a price, which I thought was quite good. Now the problem, I live in Melbourne and am a fanatic in terms of vehicle presentation and maintenance, my current vehicle after 3 years does not have a mark on the body wheels or interior. Strattons have advised that my car will be coming from a Sydney dealer, it will be shipped to Melbourne and then sent to a 3rd party handling company who will clean my car, register it and then deliver to me via tow truck. If you go to pick up you car from a dealer and there is a fault or a mark or scratch on the wheels or body, very cut and dry who is accountable. With so many players involved with the delivery of my car, I don't believe the accountability would be as clear cut and would muddy the water for any recourse process to make good any pre delivery issues.

Has anyone experienced this type of delivery before or care to make any comments, thanks in advance.

Hi Andyp911, welcome to the forum. I too have ordered my vehicle through a broker who will deliver the car to my door. As with anything which you accept delivery for, acceptance of delivery is subject to good order and condition. Prior to signing for delivery, you will need to look over the car in detail and note any issues on the delivery docket.
