Yeh, dawned on me after I had submitted the post. Mate I would have been stoked if they left the 6pack in their for me..

All in all, awesome vehicle though..

I can't see Jeep USA carrying the cost all the time from final production to customer delivery so JeepAU must have a large commitment for stock on the water.

Customers here pay only a token deposit. The importer needs a large amount of working capital to finance at least in part cars on the water for 2 months. 50 cars ( just for example ) with an average cost of 50K is 2.5million on the water. Interest on that sort of finance ain't cheap.

Maybe individual orders should carry a larger deposit requirement. I don't know the answer. Not saying jeepAU are doing the. Right thing but I can see the stresses they are under.
Average cost of 50k is more likely a retail price. Id say 30% less about would be the wholesale value. The wholesale value is what the financing would be based on. Then, the 30 - 60 day payment terms, which would allow them to actually deliver most of the vehicles to the dealer network, and have the dealers actually finance most of it. Id say Jeep AU if they order in their favour, which im sure they are, are only out of pocket for 15 days. Its the dealers that hold the stock, and therefore need the financial support.

As some had suggested the delivery date just gives the buyer to get out of the contract after a certain amount of time. There is no penalty if the vehicle is not delivered by the nominated date. .

I think the worst part is waiting 16 odd weeks and then being told, "Sorry, we had a problem with your order...." We would all like to think that when we enter into a contract it is because there is something to make an agreement on - not just heresay...

Dealers should be held responsible (financial remuneration) for incorrect orders/non orders and so forth upon signing of contracts just like a customer is held responsible (financially) for a break in contract. It would certainly ensure they place correct specs and ensure to stay on Chrysler's back to ensure they have their act together.

I've never known or even heard of this sort of behaviour with any other car manufacturer/importer and I've purchased various makes across the range.

You should sell that Launch Control button to DCRSRT so that he can play with it, and go "Vrrrooom Vrroooom" while he awaits delivery of his SRT

Then 2 hrs later the Rudd news, wow I didn't expect that & it all starts from the day my Jeep arrives with the last of the paperwork to be finalised. The leasing company told me that their financing bank has frozen all motor vehicle salary sacrifice funding until they know what's going on. I am not going to let Rudd & Co ruin my 9 month research & wait for our first Jeep GC, so just in case I am looking into a back up plan.

So - I found, you have to first check two boxes on the Uconnect system.

1: Settings - Doors and Locks - Personal settings linked to Key Fob. CHECK

2: Settings - Engine Off Option - Easy Exit Option. CHECK

No surprises with checking #1 but it wasn't until I checked #2 that it actually worked.

After these two options checked, then I took Key Fob #1 and started the car. Pressed memory setting 1 on the door panel (my setting), it reconfigured the steering column and seat and then I pressed the Lock option on the key fob. A few clicks and lights flashed and it was set.

Then shut down car, went inside and got Key Fob #2 (Sam's key) and started the car. Pressed memory setting 2 on the door panel (his setting), it reconfigured the steering colum and seat and I pressed the Lock option on his key fob.
Same clicks and lights flash and it was set.

Tested between the two fobs. It works each time.

It did not work however prior to me setting the Easy Exit Option check box.

Anyway, give it a go - it does work.

Oh - the Easy Exit option, works in the same way as our '07 JGC. When the engine is turned off, it adjusts the steering column and also the drivers seat backwards to give you more room to exit (just in case you are wondering what that is).

J, Finally got it to work. Read the manual correctly this time and followed it step by step. Had to have the car in the OFF state to set it.

I will read the handbook, when they bring it out as a Talking Book. Let your ears do the reading.

Oh - that sounds a bit different to what I did Aus? I think I might have done it wrong ie: not per the manual (I couldn't find that bit in the manual by the way - which pages - can you remember?), so I just took my cues from the other thread. It seems to work though - I tested it again today.

Also, and no one has mentioned this yet, but I love the wing mirror tilt feature when in reverse. It's a great feature.
