SRT Test Drive

Had a nice surprise yesterday. Dealer rang me saying that an SRT and Overland CRD had just trucked in. Test drove the SRT today! What a beast. Going back for the Overland when ready.

You know, if cars were cheaper like they are in the USA and we didn't have to pay all those extra taxes, stamp duty etc, we could afford to replace our vehicles every 3 yrs or so. Just imagine the difference that would make to the car industry as a whole. Side benefit would be less 'bombs' on the road and less fuel burned up ( more efficient engines).
I wonder if any one in the Govt has ever thought of that?

If one genuinely uses their car for work then there is no tax issue to worry about.
Well, why not? If you consider the overall benefit to the car, & finance industry, and not to mention the taxes collected, any gain in FBT revenue will be lost as people find this will no longer find this a worthwhile option. The end result will be job losses in the industries who rely on fleet sales. Unemployment will rise, welfare costs will rise, and so on.

Which is the lesser of 2 evils????

It should have your 4x4 low button there (which is what is programmed by what you said in the evic)

Now go look for other fun features like a harmon kardon 21 speaker sound system and GPS they threw in for you too lol
Looks like my car was built on a Friday as well, that better not be my button

Very unlikely to use it anyway but it better have all 21 speakers intact

They can be ordered and fitted, several in the US have done it.
They are stupid expensive though for a couple of plastic strips.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Apart from initial release around 5th July, there isn't any subsequent expert review on 2014 JGC. Any one comes across any review recently?

Just this SRT review that I had to correct them twice (as Mandy Mopar) on the pricing.

I wonder if any one in the Govt has ever thought of that?
The error in logic here is that you have used "Govt" and "thought" in the same sentence. That's basically a contradiction in terms.

That our our basic wage is more than double the US, so the cost of doing all business here is far greater.

National minimum wage
USD $7.25, Au $16.37.

They earn 3 cents per hour in Sierra Leone, I'm moving there.

Hmmm.. Not sure if that's the full reason as their imports like Porsche, BMW's are half the price too, anyhow it was just a random late night thought, now back to the real world.
