Has anyone got any info on the MY15 yet? Must be time to start placing orders on them.

Jeep AU will only release info about the '15, once they have been here for a month. Until that time, they will deny all knowledge of its existence

I'm surprised that Jeep Aust have not denied the existence of the MY12.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I'm still in consideration mode so haven't ordered yet....hoping the longer I hold off maybe some of the niggly things mentioned in this forum will be cleared up and dealers may not be as 'precious' however, I like the look of the beige interior but wonder how it will wear compared to the black, eg wear or scuff marks, black hides a lot, I remember sometimes beige interiors tend to show blackish signs of wear although it may take several years to show......a black overland crd with beige interior sounds good to me, although a massive change from the white vehicles I prefer....it just looks damn good in black !

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The Good News:
Done 1000k, drives super well, highly recommend. Only faults are:
1 - Heater has a mind of its own - cold air driver side + very warm air passenger side, both sides select the same temp - few minutes later issue swaps sides - no distinct pattern, very odd!! All while set on Auto.
2 - Typing destination in NAV very slow as takes 1 - 1.5 seconds to respond to each digit - must be a slow search algorithm for the names.

The Bad News:
A = Jeep Australia have significantly reduced the functionality in the Uconnect:
1 - DAB/DAB+ option available, but turned off.
2 - Apps/Wi-Fi/3G Comms - all absent.
B = Other:
1 - Stupid CD player in center storage - marketing person's brain stuck in the last century.
2 - Ash tray & cigarette lighter should be an expensive optional extra.
3 - They even deleted the garage opener!!
4 - Lane departure not included in warning systems (factory option)

Thanks Seaweed. 'specially disappointed about the garage door opener. At most it would have required an easy certification.
What do you mean by the lane departure not included in the warning systems - does that mean it does not work? As far as I knew, it is included on the Overland, not an option.
Thanks, Russell

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Yes, my husband is also a bit disappointed with regards to the garage opener. Also, Seaweed (and as per It4vette's post) - what is this lane change option you speak of?

Do you mean that (for example), if you find yourself drifting out of a lane (because you happened to be falling asleep!), you are issued with an audible warning?

Is that standard on the US models?

Glad you are enjoying your ride though.

As above, do you mean Blind Spot Monitoring?
I's standard on the Aus Overland

"Forward Collision Warning (FCW)(7), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)(6), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)(8) and Rear Cross-Path Detection (RCP)(8)"

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Yes, BSM is standard, and is brilliant but I don't think that's what Seaweed is talking about (??).

ETA: I think this is what he is talking about.
