I suspect once you mention Light Frost, those Clowns at Jeep Aust pick any other colour.
I have been somewhat concerned by the car ordering process for this same issue. Only today I received confirmation my car is scheduled for August production, and due for delivery Oct/Nov...hoping it is the right car.

Before anyone arcs up, I have tried to search for it but only found Webbers comments that the changing out of his Uconnect o fix the issue.
After no driving for more than two weeks have two staff back on board. A 5 week old car with 1200km only is not good. Anyway, in my driving today I still have the problem of passenger side blowing out warm air and drivers side being cool. Yes, the service manager believes a change over Uconnect system will remedy the problem. We will wait and see. He ordered it almost two weeks ago but he has not requested I return the car yet. Should not be too much longer. Let's wait and see what the results are.
This faulty Uconnect is affecting other features but only minor, ie:
I can receive calls but have no phone book displayed.
I can play music via bluetooth through my mobile phone (300 odd songs loaded now). Most of the buttons work with respect to changing tunes etc. but I cannot get a music list on the screen.
I have reported to the dealer that I suspect the Uconnect may also be affecting the performance of my heated steering wheel. It is supposed to remain heated for 85 minutes (I think the manual says) but can turn itself off if cabin temp is high enough etc.) I still think it may not be operating properly because I can feel it heat up really well but then (maybe 15 minutes later) it obviously goes cooler, if not cold, and then I can feel the heat returning into the wheel and then it loses heat again. I just feel this is not quite right. In our cold area I think it should be sustaining a more even warm steering wheel. Any other Steering wheel heating experiences out there?

Also Karakin....the VR (voice recognition) is NOT WORKING. This is clearly a Uconnect problem that will almost certainly be rectified with a new Uconnect.

Webber, my iPod I have connected via USB we can get a track list up for, but we can't get a track list up for the wife's iPhone via Bluetooth. Maybe it's not possible? I'm not sure

You may be right. However, On the day of collection when the dealer was demonstrating the Uconnect to me I could see the entire phone book from my iphone on the Uconnect screen. I am (rightly or wrongly)assuming if it can read (via bluetooth) my entire phone book and display it on the screen it should also be able to display the list of all the songs on my iphone. At the time of collecting the car I did not have any music loaded onto my iphone so that feature could not be demonstrated. What I do know is that all the names and numbers in the iphone contacts was displayed and then this feature took a dive so I am assuming a new Uconnect will display my phone book and my music list. Will let you know.

Believe me SNUKE I am learning fast. Driving around with wife today with those 300 songs from the 60's & 70's made for a very nice driving experience. My son snuk three of his on as well. He said wait till they come on with the big BOOF, BOOF, BOOF base sound. People are going to want to know what the hell has happened to the old codger. He said I need a better sub-woofer to fill the boot/cargo area to really push out the sound.

What is going on here? Why are there seemingly so many problems with UConnect? When the unit was manufactured there must have been a quality control check and then when it was fitted to the GC another check would have been undertaken. Is this just a programming problem? Are there problems where UConnect is fitted to other Chrysler products? Many questions that need an answer, this is simply not good enough. I feel for you guys who are having these problems. Someone in the US must know what's going on here.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Webber, my phone is set to favourite for being connected through blue tooth for phone calls and displays the full phone book. I havent tried playing music through my phone, ill try this arvo and see if it brings up a track list.

The wife's phone is set as favourite for music streaming so when we jump in my phone hooks up for calls and her's hooks up for music - thought that was a great feature!

You do need to give it a decent tug, to release the lugs.
Make sure you have ALL the fasteners removed. A couple of them are a little obscured.
