Hi Webber, Stuch started a thread for the heating problem - AC system not Syncing

There are a number of us having the same problem. Please post your experiences on the thread to ensure all involved are up to date.

Thanks - RockyAUS

4k would've enough to get me to drive a few hours too. Well done. Will be interested to hear of your experiences with Gosford when it comes to servicing. I think they will be fine but we will see.

Enjoy the new car - there is nothing like cruising round in a new ride

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I've got a question regarding the tyre pressure monitoring system. According to the manual, you can change the measure between psi and kpa, but I only get bar with no apparent option to change the measure. Apart from comparing pressures between the tyres, to me the bar measure is useless. Have I missed something in regard to switching it to psi?
Cheers

This was mentioned earlier it the thread. apparently you need to put the whole uconnect into Imperial.

Bad news for me is.. get this... According to O'Brien's investigation and databases there is currently no replacement glass for MY14 GC in the world. The MY13 glass which they shipped in is the same size but the rain sensor is completely different. Even though there are apparently none available anywhere they are very confident they can get one within the month.

So word of advice guys, don't smash your windscreen for the time being.
Wow, no spares (with the rain sensing). Note to self: avoid large roadtrains coming in the opposite direction.

OT, but husband just told me a story about a friend of his that worked in Detroit many years ago on a windscreen production line. The friends story goes that he was responsible on his shift for checking out the screens as they came down the line and if he saw a dodgy one, he hit a button and it would smash to the bottom of the floor.

He said, if you held the button a bit too long then several along the line would also smash to the bottom of the floor. Sometimes, because it was so boring, he would deliberately hold the button down for quite a few seconds and see up to 10-15 of them smash to the lower holding rubbish floor - just because he could.

As stated psi is only under Imperial.
BAR is for metric.

1 bar = 100 kilopascals

Bretto - that cover looks like something we should get made for the child! Food has been banned in the new Jeep for him.

Gorgeous dogs - what breed are they? I have (after 4 weeks now) retrained our Airedale to not approach WK2. Smart dog - knows WK is fine but WK2 is off limits. The Springer Spaniel couldn't be bothered either way so he wasn't the issue but the Airedale - she just loves riding in cars. Ours, the neighbours, random visitors, tradespeople - yep - she's in (front seat) - let's drive.

So far so good - she seems to understand and backs off.

Handy if you have a newborn too - you can use the bonnet as a change table , and no one will notice any spillage

Started playing with gloss vinyl today - an unmitigated disaster! That stuff is evil.

Hahahahah that's awesome you've trained them! People don't understand the intelligence of dogs!

The cover was a $14 doona cover from k mart that was modified to be fitted for the jeep, to cover the back of the back seat (horrible for attracting hair) the seat and floor (again hair flying lol)

The breeds are 50% German shepherd 50% boxer (laying) which I got from a pup in the pet store in July 2007 and the pure border collie in November 2007 from the RSPCA after I realised boof (shep) needed a mate. Coincidently they both have the extract same birth date of 24/05/07 which I find completely meant to be!

Sooty (BC) is an intellect bugger, he LOVES drives like your Airedale! He knew which car we were going going in by the key we used. The Amarok had a flip key and if we pressed it to click open he would stand at that door and if we held the commodore (obviously not flipping for a while) he would stand by the SV6 .. He is a bit confused at the moment as the jeep doesn't have a characteristic he recognises so I will report back how he works out which car we take lol

Would absolutely love to see some pics of your canine baby's! And yes the seat cover works well for my 8 year old brother too whom is in love with the rear seat warmer .. Even on hot days lol

This is a great dog rug / seat cover we got - $18 delivered, RRP $80.
Here is the link for Horse Shed Direct, they also have lots of great dog rugs.
WeatherBeeta Dog Fleece Throw Blanket Large

Not my dog, this a pic from Weatherbeeta

It has a Waterproof base, and elastic straps to loop around head rests.

I had Springers most of my life, they all loved getting in the car. With a brother sister pair we had, we took them in the boot all the time with the centre seat folded down for them to see through. They loved it. Of course if it was hot then no, not in there.
I don't let our current dog (English Staffy) on the leather seats in our Pajero, he travels in the rear. If he has to go in the back seat like tomorrow for a horse show then the seats must be covered or their claws scratch the hell out of it.

I do have one of those but it slips around on the seat and ends up useless.

I've never normally worried about the dogs on the seats (a reason I chose leather) but this nappa leather is really soft and marks easy.
