Just one small issue, that I am hopeful someone has experienced before and can tell me how to fix, to save a call to the dealer tomorrow.

The issue is "I've lost anything appearing on the 8.4 u connect screen". It was all working fine until I stopped the car to look at the progress of the Adelaide oval rebuild and when I got back into it and turned it on, nothing appeared.

I hope someone can be of assistance, as I am having too much fun in it to return it to the dealer already!!!
Same thing happened to me a few nights ago. Came good after I turned everything off and restarted the Jeep. Told the dealer about who said it is not normal and will check it out at the 1k km check up.

Charming... you're just showing your ignorance mate as it is not beige. I willing to bet you haven't seen the colour, or colour blind, or perhaps a chip on your shoulder. You may be happy with your boring, plain Jane white, but I wouldn't judge you, and certainly not post insulting remarks on a friendly forum.

Maybe you should change your name to 'sick truck & tires'. They look awesome. Did you trade your Khumos in on them? Tell me more as I've been considering doing exactly what you have done

Oh , c'mon - just a laugh. And your probably right about the not seeing the colour in the flesh. I briefly saw an SRT yesterday in possibly that colour- sort of more gold in it ( and it did turn my head)

And I most certainly do have a chip on my shoulder- I've finally given up on black cars and gone to plain Jane white purely for laziness and it holding the dirt better and not showing scratches.

No offence intended (hoped you would laugh ), hell I even have a beige sports jacket I wear and love ( but the shop sure didn't describe it as beige when selling it lol).

Worst thing about white - my MIL likes it - says its safer (for her grandchildren and daughter)

Regards

Pharmaboy - the guy with the dry sense of humour

In the great words of Richie B. 'whether it be the cream, the bone, the white, the off-white, the ivory or the beige - it's a marvelous truck.'

Gforce is a name known to all
My Ride has Arrived !

Today I picked up my GC Limited CRD - White - Light Frost Interior - 18" Wheels - Tow Pack etc.

What a great car ! Everything is as it should be, everything works as expected and no problem with wiring up the trailer plug, Anderson plug and electric brakes. The GC is very tight on the road , no rattles or unusual noises, panel fit is perfect. The dealer did a great job with the pre delivery, even the Uconnect and Nav has been set up correctly.

What surprised me was the polite Nav system with comments like " would you please take the next turn on your right" and the way the radio volume turns down so that you can hear the message. There is another voice reminder (which you can turn off) telling you if you are exceeding the speed limit.

When I connected my iPhone via a USB cable to the Uconnect it picked up all my contacts and music effortlessly including a photo of the album cover on the screen. I listened to one of my favourite Eagle Album's on the way home from the Dealer and after parking the car and returning to it later I didn't bother to reconnect the phone which was now in my pocket, the Uconnect picked it up via Bluetooth and amazingly started to play the song where it left off when I had parked the car two hours ago... Amazing .

Still getting used to the no key, feels strange to just press a button and walk away.
Things I don't like are: That placement of the foot park brake, but I will get used to it, the placement of the CD player and I feel the owners manual could have been written better as it can be a little hard to follow in some places. Also a separate Uconnect manual would be a good idea. And that's it, everything else is much better than expected. Although have only done 200 Kim's so far, the fuel economy is 7.8 per 100km average.

Big thank you to Grant from Gary Cricks at Noosa. I did drive away very happy.

PS: For those of you who are interested I will post some pics ASAP.
PSS: Also for those of you who are still waiting for your GC, be patient it is worth the wait.
