Did you end up getting the Lux II pack after dropping the protection stuff?
You were originally looking at an October pick up so I guess they found one already ordered with your combination.

Also a separate Uconnect manual would be a good idea. And that's it, everything else is much better than expected. Although have only done 200 Kim's so far, the fuel economy is 7.8 per 100km average.

.
There should be a separate manual for the U Connect. At least there was for the MY12's

If I held out for the lux pack, I would still be waiting for my car, so decided to take a vehicle that the dealer had ordered ( he told me it was in a pack of eighteen vehicles that were coming in). As suggested dropped the protection stuff.
As to the lux leather, my wife wants wool seat covers, so as there are only two of us and our small fur child (dog) I am happy with the standard leather, which by the way looks and feels fabulous.

They did a very neat job with the tow bar and electric brake controller, the controller is the remote type (Redarc) and you only see the light and a very small control knob on the side of the dash near the headlight control switch.

Bye the way Snuke, the black carpet also looks great, if I was ordering again I wouldn't change a thing.

Very happy GC owner.

No there wasn't one as it seems to be now included in the owners manual which is a big read with lots of writing and not a lot of pictures which I prefer. ( that says a lot... Dah) very scary getting older.

So from what I am reading the consensus is that there is a major delay in delivery date with any orders with unusual options?

After over a month I am still waiting for Jeep to assign a vehicle.

The delay is there if they have to order the vehicle in. Then it will be a production date at Jefferson that is doing your colour plus 12 weeks or so for delivery from plant to Australia .

JA however see to have a bunch of cars either here or on the way in a smattering of colours and options that they think will be demanded. What they don't seem to have ATM is a long list for customers to choose from, you seem to just put in an order of a relatively expected colour combo and see how the delivery date pans out.

For me a 2 week order to delivery meant choosing a std car (limited) with the default black interior in white ( red, white, black, max steel seem to be popular colours).

So after the much lengthened wait, we have finally picked up our granite Laredo crd on Friday afternoon in Perth after putting in an order mid march. Being in Adelaide, mum has called 'dibs' on it (as its a company car) and I doubt that I will ever get a drive now......

A short report from mum for her drive home to SE WA, averaged 7.7L/100kms over a 750km trip. She loved the automatic high beam late at night and was surprised as to how well it stayed on the road (especially on corners) at speeds around 110 in the wet. The gearbox was extremely smooth, especially with the gear changes hardly being noticeable in the higher gears. We haven't got our reverse camera yet and haven't had any issues either.

I think the dealer was a bit confused (and possibly) worried, after a 'middle aged woman' from the bush told him she couldn't wait to get out of the city and take it Into the paddock and see what it's like in a bit of clay, as his jaws dropped.

Anyways to cut what could be a long essay down, thanks for all the great information that you have given us on this thread. The help that you have given has been enormous and probably without it, we wouldn't have bothered with jeep. Also a big thanks to Milous for the build sheets! We hope that everyone who is waiting gets there lovely cars soon and those who have them already all the best

Edit: Attached is a picture of 'mums new baby/pride and joy ... Name still pending). Not the best pic, but she has only just learnt how to use an iPhone!

Still lying in a hospital ICU bed 17 days after returning from a five week OS holiday, and wandering why my CRD Limited which arrived in Melbourne on 28 June (Tamesis) is not at the dealers yet. Oh, and the dealer telling my wife that Tow Packs are not currently available!!!
