Yeh for sure, definitely keen to get the two beasts together for a shot! Just to clarify, that's next Friday, 9th August?

No Hawkesbury Showground, Richmond.
NSW Arabian Amateur show. 6.5hrs of fun for two events.

There were two ambulances called though, so some action occurred.
The dog always love horse shows.

Those that have been following my reports will have noted I purchased my Ambient Lighting more than a year ago for the MY12 I did not get. The dealer fitted the genuine Mopar accessory easily and I love it. Although it has about 8 to 10 colours I run permanently with the blueish colour because it matches the Overland Ambient lighting on the dash and in the door pockets etc. Really bright in front and rear footwells with no shine on the windscreen. It's great, tonight had my Citylink new pass sitting on the dash (because I have not stuck it to the windscreen yet) and it fell off into my foot well. Could see it easily and able to easily pickup which I would not have seen without my ambient lighting. Did nearly 400 km today (actually got a day off) and drove with a light foot from the extreme north of Melbourne (Mt. Macedon Area) to the extreme south of Melbourne (RACV club at Cape Shank). Speeds 60 to 110Kmph. 70% on Freeways. Consumption was 7.4/100Ltrs. Don't want my computer to memorize that soft drive so will take it out again in next day or two and plant the foot to teach it to also respond to fast accelleration if I need it.
Also got a call from the dealer today to advise that my new Uconnect had arrived. Now need to get it fitted and report if it corrects the heating problems and the VR voice recognition I have referred to.

Speaking with Alex at Waitara, they will be having a SRT Privileges Club which includes track days at Eastern CreekSame as they do with their HSV customers (damn i'd love to beat them on the track lol).

Ran into my first issue today, backed the car out on the driveway for a wash, uconnect working perfectly. Drive the GC back in and guess what , the screen is blank, pressed the on off switch a few times but made no difference. Seems all the MY14's have an issue here.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

hi all
Back in Hedland, and the car did not miss a beat the whole way. just caught up on all the posts. One thing I would just like to point out to those who are going to tow a van, the engine break in period suggest not put it under heavy load for the first 1500km, it does not mean don't tow but take it easy and only use 2/3 power.

On to the disappointments which are all dealer related, no 12 pin plug just 7 pin when clearly asked for in original quote and follow-up email. Hayman-Reese brake controller screwed into the dash when Red Arc was supposed to befitted which rattled for the first 200km till I unplugged it and removed it from the bracket. And like most others no mud flaps even though stated on Vin build sheet to be supplied. I am awaiting answers from the dealer as salesman sent a lackey to hand over the car.

Other than that everything works well and now I also see the misalignment of the tailgate which will have to be adjusted.

As to Mudflaps none on mine either, dealer said that Jeep had none in stock as they are on back order. Big mistake by Jeep not fitting them in the first place.
